Google's New Behavioral Ad Targeting System
Google has unveiled a new behavioral targeting system that'll read your browsing history, then cater ads based on where you've been. While Google sells the concept as an user-oriented improvement that'll bring you "more interesting" and "useful" content, you may want to consider the privacy implications of having your surfing habits monitored and monetized.

Oh, that's awsome! Say I'm a dad, and I check out porn, then my daughter hops on to look up Dora the Explorer or something, and the side bar is girls blowing horses. Muhahahahaha! Another future stripper in the making! Joking of course. But seriously, it's invasion of privacy and illegal. Side: muhahahahaha

Although this system is bound to create ads that we are more likely to click on, this system can be seen as an invasion of privacy. What I look at on the internet is my business. Nobody needs to know what I search, look at, or download, but me. Geolocation software being used on ads is scary enough, but when an ad comes up telling you that say something like "You seem to like funny videos!!! We have plenty of funny videos here!" That's too much. Google's going to be shooting itself in the foot if it goes along with this in it's current form. P.S. I would be more than happy to let Google track my Internet usage if I get paid. Just putting that out there. Side: What? No!
