Socialism is a form a government that is most characterized by its concept of 'social ownership'. In other words, resources, or capital, or otherwise, is made a common right for members of a socialist government, and the economy is a co-operative system among these members.
So, according to your definition, social security and social health care are socialist programs. Social security is taken by taxing the working class and giving it to retirees who did not earn those specific dollars by working or earning it. Social healthcare is used by taxing people to provide healthcare to those who can't afford it or didn't earn those dollars used for their care. Obama also increased taxes for the rich to give to the lower classes who didn't earn those specific tax dollars and increased certain taxes for his social programs. This is redistributing the wealth.
“A new vision of an America in which prosperity is shared.”
-Barrack Obama
He also has sympathies for the Democratic Socialists of America. His father wrote that the US needs more socialism and his mother was a Marxists sympathizer whom Obama credits with "The values she taught me continue to be my touchstone when it comes to how I go about the world of politics"
If you believe that Bush did a good job, then you must believe that Obama is doing a fantastic job for pretty much extending Executive Branch power, increasing spending, continuing and extending the War on Terror, removing even more American rights, making America a less free place for immigrants and marijuana smokers, etc.
I really don't see why Conservatives hate him if they loved Bush.
Plus the right to bear arms is one of the most sacred truths in america that's why it's the second admenent. It is something this country is suppose to have . That is what kept us from ever having a ground invasion ever . Because of you tried there would be a gu behind every blade of grass.
Even though i agree that he is not doing a good job, i would not go as far as to say that he is purposely trying to ruin America, i think he had good intentions just failed to get positive results.
Really the worst president ever? I hardly doubt that this proposition could have precipitated in your skull for more than one second. Did you forget Hoover, Harrison, Grant, Tyler, Fillmore, Pierce, Harding just to name a few, or as your dull eyes glaze over my list do they appear to be as empty of cartridges as your overly zealous statement clearly implicates.
Thoughout his first term he spent most of the time presenting vague statements on politcal issues without making any clear stand on the matter and failed to fullfill some of his key campaign promises such as the closing of Guantanmo bay. His second term hasn't been much of an improvement.
He's done a great job... Of ruining everything he's quadrupled the national debt raised taxes introduced anouther socialist program and is now threatening our second amendment idd say he's doing a spactacular job if he's trying to spark a secund civil war.
No not that. I mean the tariffs he placed on southern ports that forced southern plantations to sell to northern factory's for prices so cheep they could barely make a profit and invading the CSA after provoking them to attack fort sumpter. Freeing the slaves was just a propaganda stunt to rally more support for the war and get abolitionists to join the army.

No they left when he won the election because he supported raising the tariffs. Lincoln was all about helping northern industry even if it was at the souths expense. He even said he would not interfere with slavery where it already existed because he knew slavery was needed to produce enough cotton to keep the textile mills running.
No. The economy would have recovered either way so if he has done anything he slowed the progress. Plus his "Obama Care" is a joke. This is something even his strong supporters don't like.
I don't think many of our past presidents did a very good job. I think the position is kind of a useless figurehead poster-boy scapegoat kind of job to hold, so really I'm just happy Obama is articulate (as opposed to inarticulate and semi-illiterate, like our last president) because this somewhat helps raise the global impression of American intelligence, and Europeans seem to like him, presumably because he acts like a Euro-politician. Anything that helps Europe get over their Americaphobia is good my my standards, as well.
So I don't know about a "good job," but I'm not complaining.
This is simply a Republican vs Democrat argument. The point is Obama has done an excellent job. In 2008 he inherited an economy that was in free fall and he brought the economy back up. Unemployment is decreasing with steady job creation. His foreign policy is admirable in comparison to the warmongering views of the Republican ideology. He truly cares about the people of America in supporting university children and senior citizens. And although I am not American I am sure it goes a long way by saying that he did accomplish what Bush couldn't by finally killing Osama bin Laden. I think that the future of America belongs to the Democrats. As the population becomes more open-minded the population therefore becomes more liberal and I think the archaic and out of date policies of the Republican just aren't relevant to the modern day society.
I'm sorry, but why would Romney want to use nukes? Why is he an idiot? I could claim the same for your Prime Minister if I wanted to. Mr. Romney is a smart, kind man who played a good race. He is far from being an idiot.
Considering he wouldn't have even taken office yet, your implied global destruction would come before he even had more real power than he currently does.
However if he would his beliefs could make him thinks that he can beat Russia. He is dumb enough to try it, I don't think so that he is able to realize that there will be no winner. People like him are dangerous.
NO The real idiot is the one sitting in the White House who believes Russia is our friend and trustworthy of being given our nuclear defense information. Now that is a dumb idiot IMO.
I support his economic policies, but I'm appalled by his promise to "roll back executive powers" and then signing NDAA into law. I support his foreign policy and his social views.
