I've gone back and forth on abortion. I vote pro-choice, but am pro-life on a personal level. I used to be very strongly supportive of gun control. I no longer am. I used to be pretty far left economically, now I tend to be more of a centrist on most economics issues. Side: yes this/these:

I went from Mormon to non-denomination Christian to agnostic atheist. I went from thinking gays were freaky evil sinners to understanding that most of them are just normal people. I used to lean pro-life, but now I support abortion as long as it's done before the fetus has developed enough to feel pain and/or emotions. I was pro death penalty but not anymore, but that's primarily because it costs more to execute someone than it does to let them rot in jail, plus sometimes innocent people are falsely convicted. Well before I came to CD, I didn't really have opinions on anything besides gay marriage. (I came when that issue was at its peak). I came with the beliefs that Obama is a great president (I had never heard anyone criticize him before), gay marriage is perfectly fine (still think that), and that anyone who wasn't a liberal democrat is an intolerant idiot. On CD, I've been introduced to so many new people with new ideas, and it's been a real wake-up call. So, yeah, I guess I have changed my opinion on people who don't agree with my ideas, and to be honest, I'm not even sure what those ideas are anymore. So, I'm more openminded now, I've added some opinions on topics I hadn't thought about before, and I'm still questioning most of my original beliefs. Side: yes this/these:

I am more accepting of religion than I used to be and less favouring of any military interventions. I also became more pro-Obama than I used to be after I studied how much good he's done in terms of relations with the Middle East and the respect he has for those nations not like pighead Bush, his father or Retard Reagan. My positions on various different issues still remains the same and will remain the same. You're only 17 and not even out of High School. You probably didn't even start really thinking about life until just a few years ago. Don't you think there's the slightest possibility that you don't know all the answers and that you could be wrong about something? Then you have a huge problem. Life is about learning and as we learn more our views naturally change. It could be that you learn things that strength your point of view but, by the law of probability, there will be things that challenge it and you should be able to learn from them. Your pastor would probably say the same ;) Side: yes this/these:
