No, those are not enough facts for me. If you go back decades and list stupid remarks from any politician, you can make any person look the fool.
- The issue isn’t “stupid remarks”. The issue is remarks that the President should not be making.
Imagine if the press dug up and repeated every stupid thing you may have said in private, or things you jokingly said in public but never actually meant.
- Why would I care if the press dug up and repeated every stupid thing I may have said in private? I’m not a public figure, nor am I the LEADER OF THE COUNTRY.
Trump constantly makes flambouyant remarks. Good or bad, it is how he debates and is his strategy to get people to the negotiating table. His tough words alone have greatly reduced illegal immigration, shamed other nations to pay more of their fair share with spending on NATO military expenses, etc.
- First of all, you spelled “flamboyant” incorrectly. Second of all, I can’t speak on how “his tough words alone have greatly reduced illegal immigration”, especially since the still-operational corrupt system of healthcare and government provisions are issuing undeserved handouts to illegal immigrants at a rate far higher than in the past ten years. So if that is your claim, cite it, point me to a source that confirms that.
I agree that some of Trump's remarks are arrogant, stupid and spoken off the cuff. He is not a politician trained in the art of deception and never answering a question. Maybe we need someone not educated in the art of telling people what they want to hear but doing the exact opposite.
- I agree with you, but you’re approaching it the incorrect way. I fully support people who aren’t bred politicians being placed in positions of power, because—as you said—the political system is full of deception and non-truths being proclaimed as fact. However, this has nothing to do with that. At this point, Trump could singlehandedly discover the cure for cancer, and people would still riot calling it “white propaganda” for no reason at all. And that is because the things that he has said in the public have been stripping his credibility to do anything positive. Now anything that he attempts to bring to the table will be immediately doubted.
You suggest that Trump voters are ignorant people lacking in the discernment required to choose our leaders. I would suggest that people such as yourself are the ignorant ones who judge a book by it's cover, or rather their eloquent speaking abiliites.
- I’m not entirely sure if you’re aware of the dictionary definition of “Ignorance”. I am speaking from MY personal experience in questioning people (I work for a political magazine, and I am required to speak personally with a lot of people about their political views) and the majority of people couldn’t answer the simple question: “Which of Trump’s policies are you most supportive of?” They knew nothing about his wanting to lower corporate taxes, they couldn’t speak on his desire to repeal and replace ObamaCare (all they knew was that it was part of his policy, they had no idea why ObamaCare was bad, or what Trump’s system of healthcare would be), and when asked about him building the wall, all they knew was what the news covers. They couldn’t speak on why illegal immigration was bad other than “They’re just gonna live off of the government”, and couldn’t lower it down to a financial, social, or sociological point of view.
There has never been a more eloquent speaker than Obama, yet in my opinion the worst President in our history. He was an extreme Liberal ideolog, all while claiming to be a bipartisan uniter between the GOP and Democrats. A smug arrogant liar who believed he was the enlightened one who knew better how we should spend our own money and run our own State laws.
- Okay first of all, come on. You think that there has never been a more eloquent speaker than Obama? NEVER? I would like to refer you to the main dude, Ben Shapiro.
To the main point, I agree with you on everything you just said in this little section. Obama didn’t do anything to bring the country to a higher platform, and, from a social point of view, contributed to the deterioration of the country’s collective intelligence.
Stop looking at every stupid remark from Trump, many times taken out of context, and start looking at what he wants to get done in this nation. (or is that the true reason for people's hatred of him)
- None of his remarks I posted were things that I took out of context. What was I supposed to do, link every single video or piece of writing where the things he said are confirmed so that people can interpret them in context?
Any thinking person understands what Trump was trying to say when speaking to the deaths of women and children when at war. He was addressing how Obama had our military's hands tied behind their backs in fear of even one civilian being killed in war. One huge problem with that thinking is that many of these civilians are supporting the terrorists.
War is a terrible thing and when the enemy hides behind women and children, there will be deaths of some innocent people as with all wars. The alternative will be never ending murders of innocent women and children by these terrorist monsters.
- Yeah, you’re right. War is a terrible thing. However, by your own logic, then “any thinking person” should be able to conclude that any President stating that they will bid troops to act on ILLEGAL order is not a thing that you want the leader of your country to be suggesting.
Trump understands that to protect the innocent for generations to come, there will be some unwanted deaths. That is war! To stop evil, bad things will happen to some good people.
- Yeah. Once again: “ILLEGAL Order”.
You never said Trump was far more qualified than Hillary in your post. You said they were both bad.
- I do believe that they are both under qualified. However, given the choice between the two, I’m glad that Hillary didn’t win. She is a criminal, a compulsive liar, and a pandering deterioration to the country.
I will tell you that Trump voters are not irredeemable and deporable as the Left painted them to be. They simply had the common sense intelligence to stop believing the lies and rhetoric from career politicans. They are actually the intelligent ones who have broken free from the lies of career politicians. They actually starting using their brains.
- First of all, I would rather be chemically castrated and then shot to death before ever identifying with the Left, so I don’t know why you would make that insinuation. And you’re not being specific enough. Are you generalizing and saying that ALL Trump voters are intelligent? Because those entire far-right crowds at certain Trump rallies raising their arms together in a Nazi Heil aren’t very intelligent.
Now, I’m sure you aren’t saying that, because that would be absurd. Right?
I mean, it is good when people “starting using their brains.”
What's the saying? Fool me once and shame on you, fool me a thousand times and I'm a brainwashed fool.
- That’s actually not the saying, but okay.
Trump is far from perfect, but he is the start. He is the strong statement from good Americans saying.....NO MORE! No more lies, no more political correctness. We want the freedom to believe as WE believe. not what corrupt politicians want us to believe.
- The start? Of what? The start of “perfect”? What does that even mean? And what would have happened if Trump wouldn’t have gotten into the primaries, but the Republicans won the election anyway? Would you still to this day be sitting in a corner, hiding away from the corrupt system muttering “Stupid America. Stupid Republican candidate who isn’t Trump. HE WAS OUR ONLY HOPE.”
And let’s get one thing straight: I am ALL for no more political correctness. It’s eating this country alive. But, there is a difference between “no political correctness”, and coming out with statements that are based out of sheer ignorance.
Almost all good business owners have had companies go bankrupt. Imagine if they all gave up and stopped trying? Imagine how few jobs we would have in this world. I'm thankful for hard working business people like Trump who are driven to keep trying and succeding.
- First of all, *succeeding.
Moving on, you cannot say that “Almost All good business owners” have had companies go bankrupt. You know this. To say that is true, is to lie. And if you would like to dispute that, please point me to the 90% of companies in the world that have gone bankrupt, (since 90% would about constitute “most of”). I’m glad that the American people are a persistent bunch as well. I am a capitalist, and I believe the idea of socialism is utter madness and plain stupidity.
To wrap up, you’re picking the wrong fight here. When it comes down to it, I would imagine that you and see eye to eye on almost every single issue with American in its current state. The main thing that we disagree on comes down to whether or not Trump is qualified to be the president. Choose your battles more carefully in the future.
