Homeless people are living the life.
You are only truly free when you have no possessions. If you own nothing, you are free from worry that it will be taken through theft or law suit. If someone trips over you while you are napping on the side walk and they break their arm, they can't sue you. If a cop gives you ticket, you just smile and say, "Riiiggghhhttt!" The IRS can't mess with you; no taxes to pay. Thieves won't bother you. No calls from bill collectors. No bills to pay. No mortgage.
You would be following in Jesus' foot steps. The question, 'What would Jesus do?' would be simple..., pretty much, nothing. With out money and worldly possessions, you are in no position to do much about anything; except watch people running in the rat race.

We have a homeless guy on our block. He is the nicest guy ever. The best thing is that everybody lets him stay in their house including our house. Everybody just feeds him and clothes him and lets him take a shower and they give him money. He also is good at fixing things so he often fixes things around the neighbor hood. Side: True.
