Massachusetts House Rejects Measure To Ban Male Sex Offenders From Women’s Bathrooms
Massachusetts is poised to enact sweeping legislation that would open all public restrooms, showers, and intimate accommodations to members of the opposite biological sex. In the process, legislators rejected an amendment that would bar convicted sex offenders from accessing the facilities of the opposite sex. The bill (H. 4343) passed the state House of Representatives on Wednesday, 116-36, with the support of eight Republicans and the opposition of 12 Democrats.

Here is a more balanced news review of what happened: Basically there was a flurry of amendments trying to water down or defeat the LGBT bathroom bill and the Republican Governor indicated he was going to sign it in it's original form regardless so all the amendments were easily defeated. It also points out that 17 states including DC already have precedent where this legislation stood and the many nightmare what if scenarios people dreamed up in opposition simply haven't been the reality. Which is what I've been saying on this site from the beginning. Transgender people have actually already been using bathrooms everywhere for many years. They're not the ones who commit these feared molestations. Personally I have no issue with making the sex offender Amendment stand. Probably if the opposition had just stuck to that and not gotten hysterical about this who LGBT bathroom issue they could have gotten that Amendment through. But you radicals really don't know when pick the right battles. Side: all bathrooms open to all
