How are alleged racial differences serving humans exactly?

Because I'm a Christian, I believe that we are all one human race from Adam and Eve, and that God hath made from one blood all the nations of men to dwell upon the earth. Black, white, I don't CARE about what skin color you are, as long as you are human. Conversely, I don't care what gender or sexual orientation you are. Why should I? Even God doesn't care, He loves us all. Peace.

I am NOT a Christian, but, other than the God, Adam & Eve thingy, I totally agree with you.

Thank you. Studies of the human genome show that we all have a common anscester, so you don't need religion to believe this.

Yes, and that common ancestor predates the emergence of homo erectus.

No one is claiming that the 'common ancestor was a monkey, just that monkeys, apes and humans all have a common ancestor.

So, if we follow that argument to its natural conclusion then monkeys, apes and humans are all equal and should therefore be treated and considered as equals.

The only thing is I don't think I'd want to live in the same neighbourhood as these primates, equals or not, and I certainly wouldn't want to work for them.

I want to start by distinguishing between races, which are broad categories applied to people based on phenotypes, and gene pools, which are specific groups of people who, by virtue of collocation and intramarriage, share genotypes.

The concept of race is generally misleading because it is based only on external traits (phenotypes), and is used to drive identity politics, societal division, and all manner of folly.

Gene pools, by contrast, differentiate people in different environments, generally in conjunction with natural selection and genetic drift, to broaden the diversity of capabilities of the human species.

For example the gene pool in northern Eurasia during the ice ages, developed through natural selection lighter skin that was better able to synthesize vitamin D with low levels of sunlight. This has enabled some humans to live healthy lives further away from the equator, and in cloudy environments like the Pacific Northwest and Great Britain.

race and racism is a made up word. It was coined in 1902. Racism is used as a political weapon more so than anything else. People can use it, too, to get whatever they want.

racism in fact is such a shallow look on the bigger issue which is simply, "differences/unfamiliarity/foreign/prejudice".

For example, do you think say in the 12th century when a barbaric tribe was invading and attacking your village, people could simply shout, "YOU ARE A RACIST!" and then barbarians would stop in their tracks, turn around with their tails between their legs in shame and walk away? That would never happen. Racism is nothing. Yet today, we can use that word and it could stop an entire country and bring them to global shame and embarrassment. Everyone needs to think about that. How the heck did this become possible? A simple word that actually has no power, but we've created a system where that word has as much power as a nuclear bomb.

It's all fake, it's all an illusion. What is real is differences, prejudice, and simply ignorance/innocence. It's not like racism is some sort verifiable, concrete disease that can be captured in a bottle. There is no GENE that creates racists lol. It's all a lie. People don't understand ideological weaponry and words to convey meaning whether real or false, it's a tool/weapon.
