CreateDebate is a social debate community built around ideas, discussion and democracy.
If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.
To learn more about the CreateDebate scoring system, check out the FAQ.
When you are ready to voice your opinion, use the Add Argument button to create an argument.
If you would like to address an existing argument, use the Support and Dispute link within that argument to create a new reply.
You should enjoy them, otherwise you shouldn't expect others to enjoy them, and since I do enjoy them, you should copy and paste it here for all to see because I don't remember. I have done a lot of debates.
Oh, no, the entirety of my waterfall is great and each word deserves attention.
I don't have to keep any "special picks".
It contains a lot of arguments that destroy religions, and reading it whole would take a long time. I can accurately divide it into 4 periods, but that's irrelevant, since you won't have to go deep enough.
Sure thing, claim that all you want, that argument waterfalls are mythical (I'm kind enough that you be embarrassed over the claim itself than your skill at describing it).
It is a coherent thought. I'm so kind that I'd much rather you be embarrassed over the claim itself than such an ability to describe it, so I gave you a string of about 4 words (yeah, I'm great at condensing, but that wasn't needed here) that you can copy and have a ready-to-be-embarrassed-over claim.
Hmmmmmmmmmm.... that's weird. I'm not real sure what being embarrassed is... of course I once jumped out of the window of a church naked and drunk and never seemed to care...
Due to the negative potential provided by gravity, the universe can be self caused.
Also, as nothing can't exist, something had to. So universes coming into existence, and probably even going out, wouldn't be a rare event on the cosmic timescale.
The premises were already proved there against you.
I know the theory of relativity just fine. I also know that it hinges on assumptions. And nowhere in the theory does gravity magically "pop" into existence without an agent. So provide us the agent. The law of universal gravitation always gives us the object(s) or agent(s) of the gravity.
It's well beyond obvious that you are not familiar with Newton's law of universal gravitation. You are administering what we call a "dodge" in an attempt to avoid the question posed. Duely noted.
I'm not a religious fanatic. I don't even talk about religion in regular life. You...on the other hand...are in a debate forum discussing religion, thus I am happy to oblige your needs.
No, votes on posts don't count towards points too quickly for that. You need about 3 upvotes on an argument before you can gain points from it. The efficiency, on the other hand, doesn't take any such things into account (no pun intended). (Also, if you look at the calculations, efficiency can never drop to negative.)
It means that he downvoted things even at zero points, something that wasn't possible last time I tried. And he isn't alone, so it might be a bug.
With a grand entrance by all the contestants. Pretty soon the talent contests will start, followed by the swim suit contest. Alas most people will simply stop watching after the swim suit contests has ended. Which means even though the universe then hasn't ended yet, it might as well have.
The swimsuit contest never ends. It's an infinite swimsuit contest, thus, there is no loss of interest and the universe never ends in heat death per a collapse of gravity or heat death per final supernovas.
It's about time. According to Darwinism you have survival instincts. Have they kicked in, in an eternal sense or are you accepting defeat and death because you are the part of the species not meant to survive?
If you are the "fittest" and your survival instincts work oh so well, why do you have no shot at eternal life? Because you didn't "adapt" to the environment God proposed for survival?
