CreateDebate is a social debate community built around ideas, discussion and democracy.
If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.
To learn more about the CreateDebate scoring system, check out the FAQ.
When you are ready to voice your opinion, use the Add Argument button to create an argument.
If you would like to address an existing argument, use the Support and Dispute link within that argument to create a new reply.
It takes years of training. I've been here 3 years and sometimes I struggle with a debate. Making multiple drafts until it is just right. And sometimes even after many tries, it's still not perfect. The trick is to keep at it. Practice makes perfect ;)
I have seen these debates and granted mine are not the best debates and may just be plain and simple retarded but my answers match the question. At least I think they do. But all you have to do is skip right over them.
Darling, you're too sensitive. I've never had an issue with your debates. It was a parody of some of the new ones out. You've probably seen them, they ask a question then give yes, because and no, because for the answers when they are clearly not a question that can be answered yes or no. If I had a problem with yours, I'd be enough of a friend to kindly point it out. Again, you're cool with me, don't worry.EDIT: I see where you've seen what I was referring to. It's early here and I'm not yet awake. But I have to get crank-started and get ready for class.
Hahaha! Man, I was just thinking the same thing. I'm pretty new to CD, but some of the debates that have been showing up lately look like they were thought up by 8 year olds.
and has a problem with me too. He is back for a 3rd time and instead of trying to make it work this time he is still going around downvoting people and acting out. WTH?
Well, at least I'm in good company. I was one of the ones who confronted him early on and he's has a hard-on(please pardon) for me since then. He'll hunt me down to down-vote me. Of course, he now doesn't like Andy, and probably you too since you hit him with the rape issue(which you had every right to). He hates being an outcast, so I think we all need to declare him an enemy and maybe he'll go away. I have every incarnation of his declared an enemy. But I've seen one explaining how to get around the system and disguise his IP address. That's all we need!
He stalks the crap out of my page just to see what I ask just to go in there or use in his next attempt at the site. He is working my last nerve. Anyway get ready to be downraved hehehehe
It was TheTruth93...he had 3 points until he down-voted us. He's always had a vendetta against me and I know he's unhappy with you, Andy. Just can't keep him away?
Actually, it doesn't bother me... if I don't like it, I simply ignore it. I've seen a couple of the older users crying lately that they don't like some of the debates... get over it already, no one is forcing them to answer them. Besides, I've looked back through lots of old debates and there has always been lots of dumb ones. Me? I like all kinds of debates.... dumb, intelligent, funny, thought provoking... it keeps things from getting boring.
