How important is it to match occupation demographics with that of the population?

Do all occupations need to be 50% female in order to not be examples of oppressive patriarchy? Or 12% black to not be racist? Or 10% left handed in order to not be...Rightists??

Approximately 6% of people have dyscalculia. If we match occupation demographics with that of the population, then 6% of astrophysicists, 6% of engineers, 6% of accountants, and 6% of bank tellers should have dyscalculia. If not, then clearly those occupations are riddled with people who hate the disabled.

Approximately 16% of people have an IQ below 86. If we match occupation demographics with that of the population, then 16% of doctors should have IQ's below 86. For that matter, 2% of them should have IQs below 50.

On the other hand, maybe we should just ignore the demographics, and hire the best and most qualified people who both are available and want the job.

Do all occupations need to be 50 pervent male in order to not be examples of oppressive patriarchy?

I saw a study by Harvard where the pay was flat and based solely on years of service. The women still wound up making less. On further inquiry, the men were volunteering for more overtime.

Aha. I found it.

Harvard Study: "Gender Wage Gap" Explained Entirely by Work Choices of Men and Women

The “gender wage gap” is as real as unicorns and has been killed more times than Michael Myers.

No you didn't, you lying cunt. You've linked an article written by The Foundation for Economic Education, which is a right wing think tank. This line:-

The “gender wage gap” is as real as unicorns and has been killed more times than Michael Myers.

Obviously has nothing to do with any study which has ever come out of Harvard.
