Of'course. You must be a practitioner with complete knowledge and experience. Ethics play an important role. Hypnotism is really not very typical but under hypnotism Men or Women become highly susceptible to stimuli. It is dangerous under the wrong user and very helpful when required.

How do you think Obama became president? A lot of his speeches, the way he talks, etc... employs hypnotic techniques. There should be an entire article written on this lurking on the internet somewhere.

Side: yes

I think in some cases it does, yet, I am skeptical about it.

Hypnotism only works if you think it works. The participant is merely reacting to suggestions given to them. It is essentially a kind of confirmation Bias at work. In cases where hypnosis is used to recover lost memories more often than not these are false memories that never happened.

The link you suggested has nothing to do with Hypnotism!

The participant is merely reacting to suggestions given to them.

Yes, which can even be a murder. And the subject wouldn't realize that until told.

Hypnotism only works if you think it works.

Hypnotism works only on certain people with certain characteristics. You have to be a person highly susceptible to the index. Strong willed individuals are very hard to be hypnotized or cannot be.

The boat never sails the way it started... There are either chances. Besides any memory recovered might not be exactly the way it happened but can be a manipulated version of imagery that comes from the associative memory!

Then you wouldn't have a problem pointing to a verified instanced where someone was hypnotized into murdering another human being. I'll save you the effort. It hasn't happened, because that is not how hypnotism works. Hypnotism does not strip a person of their free will or their consciousness. People play along because they are expected to. Hypnotism is nothing more than a parlor trick.

Yes, people who want it to work.

And when a woman recovered a false memory of her father molesting her, what "associative memory" is that coming from?

Side: No

Correct, at this current state of evolution, human being are simply unable to control another human being's mind. This is fact. Hypnotism only works because you think it works. The mind is merely playing along with the game, and most participants will even admit that they had complete control of their own mind, yet they went along with the game.
