IS THERE A CHRISTIAN THAT KNOWS WHAT THE 10 COMMANDMENTS WRITTEN ON THE STONE TABLETS SAY?
Evidence that most Christians have never read or don't understand the Book that they are willing to base their lives around. I have asked countless Christians if they knew what commandments were written in stone and NONE ever got it right. It is amazing to me that people are willing to follow like lemmings the word of people who claim to be religious leaders. I think Mark Twain said it best,

What in my post is hateful? It is definitely NOT a hateful post. I just find it interesting how so many people follow a religion based on ancient texts and have never taken the time and put in the effort to read the entire set of books which their religion is based on. I was a Christian until I read them because I believed what the religious leader (Pastor) said.
As for the Islamic religion I don't know many Muslims and whether they have read the Quaran or not. If they are killing people of other religions I would guess that they have a very good understanding of what their ancient religious texts say.

Anyway, there isn't a Christian that KNOWS much of anything that isn't hearsay.

The information you stated is not what is written in the Bible, and it does not answer your question of the OP. It's what the texts claim, last commandment "don't cook a baby goat in it's mother's milk" tell me that's not a primitive idea. What is in Exodus chapter 34? Most of what you posted when you copied and pasted a large clip is in Exodus 34, some of it is not. You really are confused, aren't you? I'm trying to help you get yourself straightened out.
Now try hard, look in Exodus 20, and list the ten commandments and we'll go from there.
The stuff you are quoting in Exodus 34 is not the ten commandments, Bib. The ten commandments are listed in Exodus 20. The stuff you are quoting in Exodus 34 is rules involved with two of the commandments. I thought you would have figured that out on your own, I really didn't want to tell you.
Comeon, Bib, I'll take you through this step by step...first you need to list the ten commandments. Maybe you really don't know what they are....is that the case, Bib? You find them in Exodus 20.
It clearly give the commandments in Exodus 34:14-26 then 27 clearly states that Moses is to write it on the tablets "The Ten Commandments" This is written into the text. I fail to see the dispute. As a matter of fact Exodus 20 is given a title "The Ten Commandments" added later but it is not part of the text as these were just words spoken by God according to the Texts

Comeon, Bib, list the ten commandments from Exodus 20. Face it Bib, you can do it, I know you can. You did a wonderful job of pasting from chapter 34 in Exodus except for the part you are some other buffoon inserted between verses 13 and 14.....whoever did that obviously either had no comprehension of the Bible or they were purposely trying to mislead and confuse; dishonest either way. Was it you who put that in there, Bib?
Now I see you are trying to imply that in verse 27 where it says God wrote the ten commandments on the second set of tablets, that it was actually the discourse God gave in verses 14-26 on rules which support two of the commandments which are listed in Exodus 20. We're almost there, Bib...almost ready to look again in chapter 34 of Exodus to put it all together and conclude your Sunday School lesson.
List the ten commandments from exodus 20 and then I'll give you the chapter and verse from 34 so you can conclude your own lesson with the correct answer.
I like the people who titled the chapters in your Bible just put the reference "The 10 commandments" there as a reference. I separated it from the remainder of the text because, I didn't want it to be confused as part of the actual text.

It clearly states "WRITE DOWN THESE WORDS" then clearly states this is a covenant. then clearly states he wrote the words of the covenant.
Can you show me the place where he says to use the verses from Exodus 20 because I don't see that anywhere??? BECAUSE YOU ARE MAKING YOUR OWN INTERPRETATIONS. That in itself is a sin

If you actually take time to read the Book of Exodus, which I do not believe you ever have, you will see a lot of it was God talking to Moses, telling Moses to tell the Hebrews what He said...and the ten commandments God wrote on stone with His own finger. God said He would write the same thing on the second set as on the first set, the ten commandments, it's all very clear in the text and an eight year old could figure it out.

If you actually found a bible with "the Ten Commandments" inserted between verse 13 and 14, that does not mean what follows is the ten commandments, it's only the summation of the following passage which concluded with the ten commandments being written on the second set of tablets exactly as it was on the first set.
I guess whoever put that title in between 13 and 14 assumed that people who actually understood what they were reading would not assume the following twelve verses actually replaced the ten commandments. The final point is given early in chapter 34, Bib. What God wrote on the second set of tablets was exactly the same as he wrote on the first set of tablets, the ten commandments and they are listed in Exodus 20. God wrote them on the first set of tablets, Moses got mad and broke those when he saw the people worshiping an idol, and God wrote the exact same thing on the second set.......the ten commandments.
It's sad if it's true that you have been unable to find a Christian to answer you on this, as the answer is plain and clear in the text and I think an eight year old can figure it out easily. I guess most of the people you call Christians are either not real Christians or have been under terrible leadership which failed to teach them what is clearly written in God's word: that He wants us to know Him, His word, and be full of His word and always trying to get more of it. It is a fact that few churches promote sound Bible doctrine and/or study today. No wonder the world is falling apart in immorality.
God told Moses to write all the words He spoke, but the ten commandments God wrote with His own finger on the stone tablets, both the first set and the second set of tablets, the ten commandments listed in Exodus 20. It's very plain and easy to see in the text. You might want to read the Book of Exodus in it's entirety and try to pay attention to what is being said. I understood it the first time I read it 37 years ago, and I must have read it ten times, maybe twenty since then. There were a few years where I quit reading and forgot a lot, but even then I still read my favorite books in the Bible occasionally.... I am on my third cover to cover reading of the Bible in three years now. I have read Exodus many times more than I have read the Bible cover to cover....and several other books in the Bible I have read more times than I can count, among those books are the Gospel According to John, 1st and 2nd Peter, James, Jude, the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, Romans, Ecclesiastes, Genesis, 1st and 2nd Samuel, Ruth, Jonah, Psalms and Proverbs, Daniel, Isaiah and Jeremiah, 1st and 2nd Kings....not in that order, I think Ecclesiastes and the Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ are the two I read the most, number one and two...but then again, Jude is so short and powerful and I've read it so many times it may be number 1 for which book of the Bible I read the most.

List the Ten Commandments, and you are free to list either the Catholic version or
the version the Catholics reject. The difference in the two is only that Catholics divide one commandment into two obscuring the commandment against idols, while the version they reject holds that divided commandment as one.
The Ten Commandments still read the same way in either interpretation, they are still all ten there.
Now can you list them, Bib, in either the Catholic version or the version Catholics reject? And please quote chapter and verse for the entire passage containing the Ten Commandments.

The honorable thing for you to do is to get into the Book of Exodus for yourself, find the correct answer to to your question here, and post your own correction. You keep asking what happened to me (in reference to religious belief) I will tell you, It all started when I was about 22yrs old and I decided that if I were going to base my life on what was written in a book (the Bible) I owed it to myself to read the entire thing and understand the information in there. As I read I realized that the Christian up bringing that I had covered only a small percentage of the info and skewed things in order to make it more believable. I began to realize that I also had to understand ancient history and other religious beliefs to see where the evidence was overwhelming for the truth. After years of research it was very clear that all religious beliefs which contain a "GOD" are clearly made up by men of that time period. That is why Jesus is much compassionate and understanding than Yahweh before him. The more modern mankind wanted more leniency in their god. There is no hatred of gods, they are only a product of imagination. I only show the hateful religious zealots what the truth in their religious belief because they use religion as a form of oppression.

I would hope that if there were a God that loved it's creation and was capable of creating anything in any manner it wanted, that the outcome would be better than what we have. I could have done a much better job with my intellect and the ability that is given to your god. There would be world peace and food for all. People would be rewarded for being respectful moral people and punishment would be swift for all non empathetic behavior. Since there would only be one God there would only be one religion and there would be one set of rules. As the God I would be actively a part of the word so that there would never be the question of existence.
