I remember when a Muslim sued Costco because they would only let him push carts in the parking lot. The reason: he refused to do any jobs that involved him touching pork products even if they were fully wrapped because it went against his religion. So, Costco had no choice because he can't restock shelves sms he can't do check out. It's a wacky religion. Side: Okay Bronto I understand

I'd say that they can be given a room... but only if the office is openly secular enough. In other words, have them make such demands beforehand. The employers can decide whether to grant such things for free (or perhaps not) or dismiss such candidates as overly fanatic. Side: Okay Bronto I understand

Hello bront: You make fun, of course... But, Christians make outrageous demands too. For example there was this crazy right wing Evangelical Christian county clerk down south somewhere who FORCED her Christian views on EVERYBODY in her county.. You remember her, don't you?? She wasn't "forcing" anyone to do anything. She was refusing to do her job. She was descriminating against gay people by refusing to act. She was not "forcing" action. Furthermore, a single person protesting a law by refusing to adhere to it is rather different than a group of people demanding large quantities of money be spent on amenities just for them. Hello A: Couple things. Words matter.. I didn't say she was forcing ACTION on her constituents.. I said she was forcing her VIEWS on them, and she absolutely was. Secondarily, she's NOT simply an individual protesting a law.. She's the ONLY person in that county who is empowered to ENFORCE the law, and she decided NOT to. If you wanna talk about MONEY, the owners of Hobby Lobby are FORCING their female employees to PAY for their own health care because of their religious views, and that's gotta cost these INDIVIDUAL women and their families MILLIONS.. excon Side: Get back to work

Sure they do. People of every faith and lack of faith make outrageous demands and do outrageous things. That's the point. The left needs to either accept separation of church and state or relinquish the concept and accept the majority are Christians and let us run it. You pick how you want it and be consistent. Such issues should have been cleared at interview stage with a full job description detailed in the contract of employment. If a job candidate had raised such unreasonable objections during the initial interview they would have been told to close the door quietly behind them on the way out. Two rules employers should abide by, 'if possible', never employ a female of childbearing age, and only engage W.A.S.P.S. Side: Get back to work
