I am not supporting nazies ( I am french and I too have a bone to pick with them) but do you know why germans hated jews even before Hitler rose to power in 1933? Because the jewish banks stopped helping germany after the english promised them to give them back their land in 1918.And thats why the germans had to ask for peace , and they were humiliated by the treaty of Versailles . OK just because they didn't kill anyone doesn't mean their believes aren't pure. My point being ask your self if it was during the Holocaust would they be the ones killing people. I would say no you shouldn't but I also think it mostly depended on the person and how far they go for their believes.
A modern day Nazi is just so, a Nazi. By defining yourself as a Nazi, you are accepting and agreeing with the “Nazi culture” which is based upon a strong hatred of Jewish people and the idea that Jewish people should die. It doesn’t matter when you existed, a Nazi is a Nazi. If you are still struggling with the idea that because a Nazi hasn’t killed someone, they deserve mercy and forgiveness, let me put it into perspective. As an American Citizen, would you feel inclined to forgive a current member of ISIS because they haven’t killed anyone even though their predecessors have killed thousands? Being a Nazi comes with ideas and theories that must be upheld (i.e. Jewish people are animals that deserve nothing more than death). Now if we are talking about forgiving GERMAN people, that is a different debate. To conclude, the dictionary defines a Nazi as a person with extreme racist or authoritarian views. A Nazi now is the same as a Nazi 50 years ago. Just because they exist later in time doesn’t exempt them from the horrors their predecessors committed upon the Jewish community.
