I'm probably gonna DIE in the streets. You will too.
I HAVE resources.. I HAVE a family. But, I DON'T have a long term care insurance policy. You probably don't either.. So, my last days, (and yours too if you DON'T have such a policy) will probably be spent in a nursing home relying on Medicaid. But, with $880 billion being cut from Medicaid, there may be NOTHING for me - or you, and we may be turned out on the street.

Oh yes, I've already concluded not only will I be working or scrounging for the rest of my life but at the very end I somehow will have abolutely nothing left. I'll probably die in the streets, too. But that's OK. I just need to launch my kids successfully and then whatever happens to me after doesn't really matter. And hey, neither Trump nor Clinton were going to do squat to help me avoid that. Though it is true that Trump has made it opaquely obvious instead of having Clinton give me a mirage about it. Side: You're a crazy lib, excon

So, if you are born with a defect that keep you from making BIG money, you are S.O.L! If you have a sick child wife, mother that drains you of your substantial savings, you've been financially irresponsible? My mother died a few weeks ago. A year ago she had around $40 grand in her savings (after being retired for 30 years, she made it last 'til she was 99). She had great health insurance from her job as Administrative Assistant to the Chief Judge of a state. She went legally blind, had to go to an assisted living facility for over $3000 a month. She still had about $13,000 a year ago, then got congestive heart problems, had to go to a nursing home ... $10,000 a month (good thing she was fiscally responsible earlier, huh?) She died a few weeks later, penniless! Many have much less to "last with", for MANY reasons! They are STILL Americans and deserve dignity! Deserve health care until the end! Deserve NOT to die penniless! I worked harder than many of YOU, I can say without bragging. My work week was rarely 40 hours ... usually 56 to 65 with MANY more than that. I took maybe six weeks vacation in the last 20 years I worked, had a financial advisor, but the cost of living was much lower then, as were the wages. I've been lucky enough to live for 15 years AFTER retirement, still have money "to fall back on". (By the way, after a forced retirement (company policy), I got a job and worked for another four year, I'm still considered a "lazy liberal" by conservatives! Today, although I worked my ass off, my money doesn't go NEARLY as far as it should have, largely because of my losing more than half under the Bush, unregulated fiasco! Today, I guess I have to "blame myself" because Bush's ignorance of Wall Street regulations and selling jobs to China, etc. to pay for his wars, has stripped me for well over half, now Trump is destroying the health plan we HAD ... (just because he said he would), I have to blame MYSELF?? In the 60 years I worked, I took a "government handout" twice. I was laid off, once for 3 days (was supposed to be 2 months or more (it WAS for many of my co-workers, during Reagans mess)! Another time it was supposed to be for 1 to 4 months ... it was 5 days for me. I had a specialized job both times and was called back early. Today, because we have CEO's sucking up most of corporate (like insurance, drug companies) profits, I know from experience how fast my financial responsibility can disappear, and TRUMP is doing his best to make that happen! I'm 80, and have no way to fight back ...except the voting booth which conservatives are trying to minimize (with the help of their friend Putin!). No! I'm NOT blaming myself! I'm blaming conservatives for de-regulations that protected WE, the People! For allowing drug companies to mark up, not 100%, but sometimes 1000%, the drugs WE paid taxes and subsidies for them to develop. THEY have no trouble paying medical bills! Other Americans (the working class), well, they have no one but themselves to blame! Back in the oligarch of the late 1800's, four billionaires controlled the American Government. Then, we ALSO had no one to blame but ourselves! We elected people who did the biddings of billionaires. Today, we've made the same mistake .... as the man said, it's deja vous all over again! Hello LP: What you say is true.. Hopefully, you've prepared BETTER than I have.. Do YOU have one of those policies??? Unfortunately, long-term care doesn't come cheap. A private room in a nursing home averaged $92,378 in 2016, and a home health aide averaged $46,332. In expensive areas, those costs can nearly double. Let's hope your family has DEEP pockets or you're somewhat wealthy. excon Side: You're a crazy lib, excon
Hello DB:] It would HELP if 1) you could READ, and 2) knew some shit. But you fail on both counts.. Long term care insurance is NOT health insurance. I'm NOT an ex-vet. I'm a vet. One enlistment does NOT entitle a person to VA health benefits.. But, I'm flattered that you follow me around like a little puppy dog.. excon Side: Trump LOVES you
Excon is not an ex vet but a vet. one enlistment does not entitle a person to VA health benefits so the vet proclaims. Eligible Wartime Periods Under current law, VA recognizes the following wartime periods to determine eligibility for VA Pension benefits: Mexican Border Period (May 9, 1916 – April 5, 1917 for Veterans who served in Mexico, on its borders, or adjacent waters) World War I (April 6, 1917 – November 11, 1918) World War II (December 7, 1941 – December 31, 1946) Korean conflict (June 27, 1950 – January 31, 1955) Vietnam era (February 28, 1961 – May 7, 1975 for Veterans who served in the Republic of Vietnam during that period; otherwise August 5, 1964 – May 7, 1975) Gulf War (August 2, 1990 – through a future date to be set by law or Presidential Proclamation) You didn't serve in Vietnam then excon. Hello J: Well, it depends... I've got a nice chuck of cash put away... But, if I become unable to care for myself, I'm gonna have to go to an assisted living facility, costing around $4,000/month or a nursing home which costs around $10,000/month.. At those rates, I'm gonna OUTLIVE my chunk of cash by a several years, and that assumes I don't get sick... Look.. I'm NOT happy with the way the math works. But, unless you've got a long term care insurance policy, or a half million in the bank, you're gonna run out of cash too... excon Side: You're a crazy lib, excon

You have that standard ''oh poor me'' attitude which is the hallmark of the loonie left who think that the world owes tham a living. Instead of whinging like a big girl's blouse why don't you secure a position of employment, or start your own business, either of which could generate sufficient income to meet the cost of any medical emergencies. Whilst in employment people who accept responsibility for their own lives make provision for the 'worst case scenario' of all eventualities. Instead of striving for and achieving a scaled down version of what Donald trump did, ( become a multi-billionaire, not to mention being elected the President of the United States of America) you sit at your computer spewing out a load of self pitting, drivel from your diseased mind. Get off your fat bum, start an enterprise and stop blaming everyone for your own lack of endeavour. Side: Trump LOVES you
Hello A: You either HAVE somewhere round a $ million put away, a very expensive long term care insurance policy, or wealthy children.. Cause, IF you don't, and if you can add, you're gonna DIE on the streets right along side me. I thought right wingers were good at math.. No? excon Side: You're a crazy lib, excon
