CreateDebate is a social debate community built around ideas, discussion and democracy.
If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.

When I was young my mother told me that there are two types of people in the world, "there are leaders and there are followers". I guess you made your choice.
Ask yourself some questions, what kind of being, supernatural entity would want a following, and if so what's the motive, what type of entity would create for the purpose of wanting to be worshiped, why even bother creating anything at all.
The answer to those questions are simple, no supernatural entity would even bother, makes no logical sense, only our petty human emotions require envy and worship, anyone or anything that requires worshiping and following reason and logic will only dictate that it is man made and you are being fooled to follow another human being ego.
I truly don't know if god exist but what I do know if every single religion on earth is man made and full lies made by man for other men to follow for there own selfish reason, it's human nature to want to be followed, and it's also our human nature to want to lead. think about that before you call yourself anything.
Made so typos in my statement but I am glad I got the point across, I sometimes wonder why we as humans feel the need to want to be followed, maybe it has something to do with survival of the fittest being deeply rooted in our DNA, in the animal world the Alfa males get to spread there off spring but what happens when there are to many Alfa males, well two things really, one we fight each other for supremacy and when fighting gets us no where we have to create the next best thing, what better way to become the Alfa male's Alfa then to have a direct connection with God, or at least lie about it.
You have no right to dictate what I can and cannot believe. Religious freedom is a natural right. Notice that I am not shoving my beliefs down your throat, but you are doing that to me. Hypocrite. You do not know me, and you do not know what my life has been life, so I will thank you kindly to get off your high horse and stop dictating my life.
You do not have the right to say what has and has not happened in my life because you do not know me. You are an arrogant fallacious jerk. Oh, and I am not a Christian.
It's funny... even though you say this shit to me, why don't you respond with an actual argument?
I'm not going to pity your bullshit, whining about your life. I want a REAL argument from you. A solid, logical, evidence based argument, because without logic, without evidence, what you are saying makes no sense, and even worse, even if it WAS true, you can have no idea it's true, because you have no evidence.
You are far too biased to comprehend what I'm saying though, right? You are only angry at me for not giving you an inch.
Try thinking for a change, and you'll see how bullshit your gods are.
How do you know Gods dont exist, because you dont believe in them? That is as arrogant as saying they unequivocably do exist. Can you prove they dont exist? If you can do so and finally end the argument, until someone either proves or disproves the existance of Gods it is all opinion.
You need to stop being disrespectful to my personal beliefs. You are being very disrespectful. The world does not revolve around you. I do not owe an explaination for anything. You do anything you can to troll and you most of the time disagree to be spiteful. This ends now. Oh, and it is not arrogant for me to have my own personal beliefs, you spiteful troll.
Out of interest why did you decide to go this route with your beliefs I quickly googled Messianic Judaism and it seems a bit complicated, no-one seems to know if its predominantly Christian or Jewish I got the impression it all depended on the person. I'd never heard of it before and a quick google search seemed to throw up more questions than answers but it kinda makes sense, Jesus was a Jew and the original Apostostlic Christians were Jews and part of becoming a Christian originally was converting to Judaism so I guess its closer to the original roots of Christianity.
My questions are more along the lines of why? And what parts of your religous practices and beliefs change
Messianic Judaism would be jewish and nonjewish believers in the jewish messiah, Yeshua. They keep kosher and they celerate the holidays that God said to celebrate perpetually such as passover. They do not call themselves christians because of anti-semitism in the reformation and the crusades.
I have an announcement to make. I no longer call myself a Christian. I now call myself a Messianic Jew, and here is why. Jesus (Yehoshua) was a Jew right? The Bible says that I am supposed to follow Him, right? Well Jesus called Himself a Jew, so I choose to as well. I always have felt that Christianity was Jewish anyway, so this is not much of a stretch. My beliefs for the most part have not changed, just the label. This feels right to me.
