I recently watched a movie depicting our nation's past cultural acceptance of racism.

When we watch movies depicting a time when racism was a part of our culture, we are saddened and amazed at the lack of compassion for our fellow man. We wonder how people could just accept this intolerance towards others simply because of their skin color. We wonder how could that even happen in America.

We think we are so much more enlightened today and would never again lower oursleves to the inhumanity of racism.

Guess what folks? People are every bit as selfish, uncaring and inhuman today as back then. You say no way!

Look no further than abortion to show your total hypocrisy when claiming to be the more open minded tolerant compassionate people.

To listen to these pious Progressive Democrats, who actually believe they have progressed to a more enlightened caring people, you would think they did not support even no restriction abortions for any reason at any stage up to birth.

These people on the Left are living in the same state of denial as the racists back then. They have been conditioned to believe that the lives of unborn Babies (or Black folks back then) are not worth as much as the lives of born people (or white people back then).

Can you grasp the connection to the cultural inhumanity of racism back then and abortion today? Back then, people were conditioned to accept what the laws or courts told them to accept. They did not question these laws no matter how unfair they seemed to be. People just blindly supported these powerful people in control of our nation's conscience and believed they were doing the right things.

Look how fast Americans once again sacrificed another group of innocent Americans.... our unborn babies. We all watched a five to four abortion decision by Supreme court Justices, and instantly said.... it's the law of the land so who am I to question it.

We learned NOTHING from our past inhumanities. We are Americans and should question any inhumanity towards other innocent lives.

You pro choice people who watch these movies depicting racism back 60 years ago, and asking how could we be so uncaring?

Look no further than your mirror, because you are no better than the same people that looked the other way while Black people were treated horribly. You look the other way every election when you vote for these radical no restriction abortion politicians in the Democrat Party. Your vote could change these no restriciton abortion laws by supporting the GOP 20 week abortion compromises(unless extreme case abortions), but you say this issue is just not important enough to you.

You are no different then the people who said racism is just not an important enough issue to effect who they voted for.

My only hope is that 50 years from now, people will be watching movies depicting a time when babies were actually torn apart in the womb for any reason a few weeks before traveling down that birth canal. My hope is that America will be just as amazed watching those movies and asking the same question.... how could people be so inhuman back then. They will say those unborn babies were every bit alive and deserving of life as Black people.

Have you learned anything at all from our past?

FromWithin admitted that encouraging condom use and sex education are a good idea to prevent pregnancy which leads to abortion. So, that along with laws against abortion you have 3 things to prevent abortions. FromWithin/Republicans oppose 2 of those 3 things that would prevent abortion. So, FromWithin is absolutely correct when he says that the abortion situation shows exactly how wrong the Republicans are.
