I feel quite confident that the topic of this debate is meant to express the same claim he has made many times before: That the left wants to take away everyone's guns. I do believe that the few individuals who express that desire are indeed "bad". Though I am confused as to why you brought up that logical fallacy regarding my comment on same-sex marriage. 1

My perception of America is that it is a violent society where too many people carry firearms. I can't think of any other advanced nation where guns are so easily obtainable with the inevitable tragic consequences of numerous accidental deaths and willful homicides. This society is very violent for people from alcohol related deaths but total hypocrites only want to ban guns. If you were not a fool, you would know that the cities with the most strict gun laws have the most homicides. Don't let facts get in the way of control fanatics. Do you have a clue how many people die from alcohol related deaths. Morons like you could care less because you probably drink, but for control fanatics people who like target shooting or hunting, or protecting their family should not have guns. The Washington Post reported that there were a total of 32,288 deaths from firearm violence in 2012 in America and this figure has remained relatively stable since then. However, suicides using firearms has risen by 7% from 57% to 64% of the total number, so whilst suicides by firearm have increased, if the statistics have remained stable then that should mean that "other" gun violence has decreased by 7% over the past two years.......? It would be hoped that those in power are looking at the statistics and enquiring "why", when making policy decisions. 1

I would hope that we elect people who are not FOOLS of the kind who would take a law abiding citizen's guns while allowing alcohol to flow freely as many more deaths are caused from it. Give us the death toll from alcohol related deaths ok? Did you know more people die in America from hammers than assault rifles? Ok here's a comparison from the NIH re alcohol related deaths re my previous post on firearm related deaths in the US Nearly 88,000 people (approximately 62,000 men and 26,000 women) die from alcohol related causes annually, making it the third leading preventable cause of death in the United States. 1

I praise the Democratic Party, especially President Obama, for urging gun control in America. The senseless gun violence happening in this country should make any benevolent politician take a courageous stand against the gun violence. I praise every Democrat who wants strict gun control. They are intelligent people who care about the safety of all in this country. 1
