I don't know any of these people, but I assume they have the same array of flaws and virtues, capabilities and weaknesses as any other demographic. I also assume that some of these folks are better than others at adjusting to the limitations of celebrity, better at overcoming the intellectual and psychological challenges of fame, but it is unlikely that many are prepared for it. I pity many of these folks who seem to have been subsumed by the roles they play to the public eye, or who have been cut off by their wealth and fame from the everyday practical realities that most folks have to contend with. They cannot help that having millions strangers know who they are and admire and envy them causes them to tend to be isolated from the freedom and relative humility most of the rest of us enjoy. HOWEVER, I still wish those poor, deluded social cripples would express their unrealistic, poorly thought out, leftist silliness under made-up user names on debate sites. |
