If America is bad, why don't libs ever leave

They do not leave because the United States in the twenty-first century is one of the best places to live ever. Even far leftist Americans who say they deplore our nation's domestic policies and decry our government as "fascist" (an unintentionally humorous exaggeration or an even funnier display of ignorance of what fascism actually is) insist that it is inhumane or unjust to prohibit immigration to people from other countries. This is an obvious admission that they believe the US is a good place to be, otherwise the left would insist that immigration be stopped for the good of the immigrants. I am not pretending that the US is perfect, far from it, but it is more tolerant than most societies. - Even our bottom 2% are economically better off than at least a third of the people in the world. - Despite the imperfections, we have more freedom than most places. - Even our worst cops show more restraint than almost all cops on three continents. - We have more economic opportunity than possibly anyplace. - We have more upward mobility than possibly anyplace ever. - We have a higher standard of living than most people. - We have near-universal indoor plumbing complete with potable water. - We have near-universal in-home electricity. - No wars are being waged on any of our cities. - The burden of proof is on the prosecution. - The grocery stores never run out of food. That is a damned hard list to beat. Outside of Europe, there are maybe a dozen countries with more than half of what is on the list. I cannot blame the libs for wanting to stay. 2

LMMFAO now how could they arrive here before a country existed The word here can designate a land mass/geographical region, whereas a country designates a nation state, or at least a society with a continuous political identity, For example, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were here before this country existed. In fact because they were already here, they were able to help bring the country into existence. 1

Bronto, My ancestors were here first, and Democrats moved them by force to Oklahoma. Then they never stopped giving our land away to foreigners or determining value based on race. Yep. This is the historically demonstrated effect of uncontrolled immigration. As you said, it happened with uncontrolled migration of Europeans into the Americas . It happened with the uncontrolled migration of the Visigoths into Iberia. It happened with the uncontrolled migration of Franks into Gaul. It happened with the uncontrolled migration of Germanic tribes into all of Europe. It happened with the uncontrolled migration of the Hyksos into Canaan and the Levant. It happened in Northeast Africa with the uncontrolled migration of Egyptians from the upper Nile to the Nile delta. It is happening with uncontrolled migration from North Africa and the Middle East into Europe. It is happening with uncontrolled migration from Latin America into the US. And on, and on, and on. Everybody wants to move to a better place. Failure to control that results in the destruction of the cultures that make that place a better place. I fail to see how this is a hard lesson to learn. |
