If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

This saying is often quoted to a troubled soul. Do you agree with it?

Holy shit.

So something applies to you it is universally true? Tell that to starving children around the world, victims of violence, those raped and murdered, those with terminal disease and those who've died of terminal disease.

Then tell it to those who do not believe in god and who have "gone through bad times" and survived.

The willingness to blame god for every good and dismiss every evil of the world to circumstance at the same time is a ridiculous double standard.

If god is to be blamed for good he is equally to be blamed for bad. If he's not to be blamed for bad neither is he to be blamed for good.

If I were a god and I had designed the human brain I'd consider it one of the greatest creations on this planet, and I'd abhor any who wasted it such as yourself.

This "God" you speak of, do you believe in him because you need something to believe in or because you want to think that you are apart of the "chosen", the ones who will "inherit the earth"? Because what you have just said can be said by almost everyone who follows one of the major religions (excluding the ones that lack a god). What makes you think your religion is right and their beliefs misguided? Why would an all-knowing, all-powerful god waste his eternity on someone as insignificant as yourself and I? Where is God when a teenager deems himself unworthy of life and commits suicide? Where is God when innocents were murdered during war? They now cease to exist, because a "god" who had the power to save them decided he is too mighty to help the weak. All it wouldv'e taken is a minute to interact directly with the victim/victim's to save their life. If God brings you into the middle of a volcanic explosion, will you and your false beliefs stand firm while lava burns your skin? Will your last thought be 'God will bring me through this'? Clearly you are too naive to understand that not everything is a box of chocolates.

Anne Frank was pushed into very very tough conditions. She died, despite believing in the same God as you.

Therefore, God will not always bring you through it, simply because you have to go through it, assuming he is real.

Many people end up in situations that they do make it through, so it would seem to be incorrect.

Christian children starve to death by the thousands daily and not just in third world countries.

Likely rebuttal: 'God allows them to starve because he wants us to feed them,'.

Does he want us to cure cancer, birth defects, aids, and every genetic anomaly and deficiency known to man?

'God' doesn't 'bring anyone through' progeria. You're born with it, you age at a high rate of speed and you die of old age in your teens. You can make all the excuses you want, they just don't hold water.

I know you'd rather exist in an eclectic fantasy of a reality, but we just don't. God or no God.

This truth cannot be smeared away with allegorical mythology.

This truth is the reality of human existence.

We bring ourselves to certain situations, and go through it ourselves.

For the events that are out of our hands, murder, illness, rape, etc., that we make it through, it's the doing of our OWN strength and abilities.
