If Socialism Is Not The Answer Then What Is?

Rather than berate socialism all day with typically fallacious reasoning (and of course outright lies) how about you righties actually do something productive and tell us what other options we have?

I'm not interested in wobbly defences of capitalism because capitalism is indefensible in any argument where facts are used. It has failed. Society is stratified and locked in a permanent struggle with itself to awaken to the reality of where it is headed. If you attempt to justify capitalism I will pull your argument apart and then ban you. Instead, focus your energy on explaining what the next stage of development for society should be, and how we can best reach it.

You are looking at a civilization built on capitalism that is the richest in human history. That's your answer. Now quit trying to change it to Communism, which is the most failed system in modern human history concerning freedom & liberty, right there next to Sharia Law.

Civilisation is the richest in human history at any point it is measured you fallacious halfwit. That's the way that time works. It moves forward. Civilisation was the richest in human history in 1066, in 1215 and at any time and date you care to mention. Technology and industry improve because the experience of past generations is built upon and refined. It has absolutely nothing to do with capitalism and your attempt to credit the natural evolution of sentient beings to the use of an anti-human profit-based pyramid system has earned you a ban. Congratulations.

If civilization keeps getting richer, what the hell are you bitching and carrying on about?

Without Communism we wouldn't even be communicating, given that the Soviets invented satellite technology. There are 13 million hungry children in America because of capitalism. The reason you think that is a success is because you're equal parts biased and retarded.

Capitalism is the answer. Look around. Then head to North Africa or North Korea and look around.

Let's start with the OP telling us why in the hell I would want the United States government in charge of production, or in charge of a hot dog stand for that matter.

Let's start with me banning you for not understanding what socialism is. The proletariat controls the means of production in a socialist state. The government controls the means of production in a fascist state. When you understand the difference between socialism and fascism (shouldn't be too difficult given that they are literally political opposites) you can come back and give your opinion. K thanks bye.

Scandinavian countries are known for having high taxes on income. According to the OECD, Denmark (26.4 percent), Norway (19.7 percent), and Sweden (22.1 percent) all raise a high amount of tax revenue as a percent of GDP from individual income taxes and payroll taxes. This is compared to the 15 percent of GDP raised by the United States through its individual income taxes and payroll taxes.

In order to raise a lot of income tax revenue, income tax rates in Scandinavian countries are rather high except for in Norway. Denmark’s top marginal effective income tax rate is 60.4 percent. Sweden’s is 56.4 percent. Norway’s top marginal tax rate is 39 percent.

In a recent interview on ABC’s This Week, Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders reiterated his position that he wants the United States to look more like Scandinavian countries policy-wise:

George Stephanopoulos: “I can hear the Republican attack ad right now: ‘He wants America to look more like Scandinavia.’”

Bernie Sanders: “What’s wrong with that?”

Crazy Barney could go for 70 to 80 percent personal tax ! What you think ?????????

I think you are a hypocrite. Your own country has seen much higher tax rates in the past.

The Revenue Act of 1935, 49 Stat. 1014 (Aug. 30, 1935), raised federal income tax on higher income levels, by introducing the "Wealth Tax". It was a progressive tax that took up to 75 percent of the highest incomes. It was signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

@Nomenclature

Have you ever served your community? Or, do you simply plot about how to take from it? Is there any evidence that you (and many others) are eager to "give back" to the community, country, etc.? If so, what?

But socialism is only supposed to take from those who take from the community in the first place though. Capitalism is pretty much designed to make 99% of people's lives revolve around producing profit for the 1%

Side: It Is The Answer

The sweet spot is a combination 😉

Medical and Education and maybe retirement should be a social system- these are things everyone has a equal right to.

Everything else should be Free Market with competition and laws against monopolies.

National socialism had it nailed down pretty well!

Capitalism is the greatest economical system implemented by mankind. That’s not arguable.

Socialism is one of the worst economical systems implemented by mankind. That’s not arguable.

But apparently according to the fools out there who dispute this (which fair enough you can) and will then ban you from pointing out and laughing at their arguments. Banning someone decides they won the argument and you’re too scared or stupid to answer them.

So your sole purpose of being in this thread is not to have an argument? You just want to say false things and not have them challenged, right?

Get out, you childish little dickhead.

Banned for making false statements of fact. Numerous scholars have argued otherwise, including -- ironically -- many capitalists. For example, Francis Fukuyama argued in "The End Of History and The Last Man" that military fascism produces significantly greater economic results than capitalism, using a great deal of gathered data.

You are an idiot. Get out of my thread.
