The united States of America was founded on being able to bring the peoples of the world together along with their many different customs, and through strong but fair leadership unit the diversity of cultural traditions to work towards achieving a common goal(s). A nation consisting of those made up from a diversity of cultures or ethnic backgrounds does not mean that they cannot all work collectively to accomplish a harmonious and fair society in which everyone enjoys equality of opportunity. Such a nation is not a 'HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF'. Side: Yes
Sure. In my immediate family we have a Christian, Atheist, HARD CORE Christians, Spiritualist and TBD. We all get along, sometimes we argue but we are still peaceful and tolerant in most instances. This is of course a tiny representation of how America is but yes, I still maintain that this country, being the melting pot that it is, can still stand united. Side: Yes
