If humans are intelligent creators why can't God be real?

As humans we are capable of observing, analyzing, and understanding the world in different ways. In the beginning we tended to believe that things we did not understand were a result of gods. Now we have got to the point where science has brought about a much greater understanding of how our world works.

We have also advanced to a point where we are changing the world. We have become creators to such an extent that "man-made" is a word that defines a lot of what we see around us. We have created all manner of things from libraries full of books to the internet, from genetically modified crops to artificial limbs. We are at a point where a computer program can beat a chess grandmaster, and we create massive open world RPGs full of features and choices. We're even creating programs online, that learn to communicate and interact with us.

In spite of all this, the scientific community seems to be incapable of even considering the possibility that we ourselves may be the results of an elaborate creation. If humans are given enough time, who can say with certainty that we are incapable of eventually creating a universe? So why are you so sure that God can't be real... and that the universe is not created?

In spite of all this, the scientific community seems to be incapable of even considering the possibility that we ourselves may be the results of an elaborate creation.

First, you are wrong. Science makes no claim on this subject. There are people in the scientific community who still believe in God.

We have also advanced to a point where we are changing the world.

We don't observe a God doing this.

We have become creators to such an extent that "man-made" is a word that defines a lot of what we see around us.

Nothing looks God-made.

We have created all manner of things from libraries full of books to the internet, from genetically modified crops to artificial limbs.

God doesn't create these things (any more at least)

We are at a point where a computer program can beat a chess grandmaster, and we create massive open world RPGs full of features and choices.

Are we the chess program that does a better job than God?

We're even creating programs online, that learn to communicate and interact with us.

Do you see that with God?

So why are you so sure that God can't be real... and that the universe is not created?

We should have seen him by now.

In spite of all this, the scientific community seems to be incapable of even considering the possibility that we ourselves may be the results of an elaborate creation.

This is false for a couple of reasons. First, there are plenty of religious people in the scientific community.

Also, there are very few, if any, who refuse to consider that 'we ourselves' could have been created by God. What those people do is search for evidence that suggests that (i.e., become scientists.) You seem to be irked that no such evidence has been found.

If humans are given enough time, who can say with certainty that we are incapable of eventually creating a universe?

No one, and no one claims to.

So why are you so sure that God can't be real... and that the universe is not created?

Allow me to explain my position on God. I consider myself an atheist. When I am presented with a scenario like this, I will agree with you: that could be the case. However, without any evidence to back it up, you are merely offering a possibility; you offer an explanation without anything to back it up. Of course, what you suggest is possible, but I could as easily come up with an equally justified argument that contradicts your possibility. As such, I don't have a reason to believe your possibility, and don't believe in God.

So yes, if humans are intelligent creators, why can't God be real? He certainly could. But so could anything else you imagine, and I don't live my life under the belief that anything I can imagine is true. Give me good reason to believe that this possible explanation is valid, and then we can go from there.

All you've presented in this argument is examples of people turning one form of mater into another. There is nothing that suggests that they could have the ability to transport between universes, or create anything outside of this universe. Of course, we can imagine that it could be possible, but without any evidence of anything that can do that, you don't prove much.

The current Christian or Islamic God might be real, but its not very probable. Here's why.

We are crawling around on a tiny speck of dust and rock, orbiting a small star in one arm of a small galaxy drifting through a sea of billions of galaxies, across a universe of unknown dimension. How is it probable that a creator of all that, would be interested in our worship. It was all made for us? Billions of years ago, so we could come into existence for what amounts to one second of eternity? -------- Really?

Just ain't as probable as some other explanations. Just saying.

I'm not really the religious type, so I don't really know much about the Bible and the story of Adam and Eve, but one thing has always been on my mind...if we're humans...how in the world could God, a human-like God, create humans if he already looked like a human? I know this may sound stupid to some religious types but it doesn't make sense to me. If anything, I'd think whatever created the universe was an invisible force that possessed no human-like qualities whatsoever. Just a freak force of nature. Possibly some crazy mythical creature-like thing. But whatever it is, I don't think it looks or acts human :/

No evidence of a god, no reason to believe in one. Our creative capacity is not an argument for the universe.

Us being able to create and be creative doesn't really prove anything.

I don't think humans will be capable of creating a universe. How the universe was created is still a mystery since no one was present to witness its creation.
