If there weren't any religions, would there have been less wars in history?
Religion, and particularly Christinaity, has been quite infamous in the past for the cause of wars and/or the reason behind why they happened.
So i put it to you, had there been no religions in existence would the world have had less wars?
Now im strickly talking about religion here not God(s). So that means people had there own belifes whether they be atheists or theists or somewhere inbetween.
I appreciate every response to this and hope you find this question to your taste.

Not all problems are caused by religion, but religion amplifies the problem. True that animosity towards one another may be from natural tribal mentality, but to believe that you have a divine power on your side that gives you superiority makes it a whole lot worse. Look at the issue over the Israel-Palestine issue. For years secular powers have attempted to help create a simple two state solution, but due to religion, you have the Jews on one side who believe that they were ordained by God to live their as well as the Muslims as well. Side: There would have been less.
