If you wanna get away with murder, BE a good actor
So, I'm watching Dateline.. It's about a murder, of course.. I notice that cops make SERIOUS decisions about their investigation BASED on the BEHAVIOR of the suspect... If they don't act contrite enough, they're SUSPECT.. If they don't CRY enough, they're SUSPECT.. If they don't exhibit what the cop THINKS is proper behavior after some serious event, they're SUSPECT..
Personally, I'm NOT an especially emotional person.. After some event, I MIGHT not exhibit a lot of sorrow. Should that make me a SUSPECT??

We see a stunning number of murder cases overturned by genetic evidence, years after our justice system has locked people away. It's not the worst system in the world, but it obviously has some serious flaws, ad clearly, a number of people have been misjudged. Of course, we'll never know how many actually get away with it by somehow slipping through law enforcement's fingers. Side: Very true

Being a good actor is definitely a bare minimum. Understanding the physical methodology of forensics, behavioural analysis (not as simple as acting, it is about stereotyping the type of murderer and then looking at who does certain non-obvious things like having a certain tidiness of desk for instance) and lastly, making sure you can absolutely pull off the murder without a struggle of any significant kind. Do those 3 core things to the maximum level that you can and you will get away with murder unless even your maximum is shit, then sorry but your IQ is too low. Side: Cops are SMARTER than that
A person who considers himself a great actor said, a few months ago, that he could walk down the street in NY and shoot somebody and nobody would care. I kinda wish he had tried to prove that (as not another lie), being somewhat choosey about his choice, of course..... I'm sure the cops would have saved America by showing him that he was not THAT good an actor. ;-) Side: Cops are SMARTER than that

No, if you want to get away with murder, you appoint a majority of activist Liberal Justices that will make it legal to kill unborn babies. They will use the ludicrous rationale of how murder is now a privacy issue for women. WHALA, MURDER IS NOW CALLED CHOICE. Side: Cops are SMARTER than that
