Money and material possessions mean very little to me. Happiness isn't something you can buy. Side: No

Does life have to have a point? If there is no point to life, then why play? I consider life a game (figuratively), and by being a game there has to be a point to it. Whether the purpose of the game is to have entertainment or to get into some type of prestige class (heaven) is up to an individual's interpretation. What is wrong with simply living life, however long you have to live it? Nothing really... but if life has no point then why bother doing anything? For myself, I focus on very secular goals. I think the point of my life is to have fun, have friends, get married, do things that bring me joy. Does the point of life have to be so grand and majestic (God, heaven... the regular BS)? Can't simple goals and aspirations be the point of a person's life? I guess our thinking differs in that both of us have different understandings of what a point to life is. Side: No

There is no reason to live when your loved ones can not. If you live forever, you'll face many problems in life that you wouldn't have to face if you died. No, dying is not a good thing, but if you lived forever, you'd wanna die. You will miss your loved ones and family when they are gone. Overall, living forever is not the great thing you'd think it would be. If you said yes to this debate, after you hit your old ages you'll regret it. Side: No

It would be torture to be permanent yourself whilst everything around you would be impermanent. You would see all of your family die and then all of civilization crumbling around you until the day the dies out and the world ends and eventually after the whole universe has ended you would be alone sitting in a blank void. A lonelier, sadder, more miserable existence is barely possible. Side: No

I actually contemplated this a lot in my youth, to be honest, when I was younger, it probably (and maybe still is) rather tempting, but I think in the long run it would be a horrible idea. I think eventually, existence itself would become tiresome, and incredibly boring. If I play a video game, there are only so many days in a row that I can play till I don't want to play anymore, now give me an infinite amount of video games, and the amount of days I can play till I get bored probably skyrockets, however, sooner or later, video games in and of itself would get boring. Whatever we do in our existence, no matter how specific, or how general eventually gets boring if we are doing it continuously. Let's get even more general, what about games in general, not just videogames? Eventually I'd get bored of that to after so many days in a row, and want to something else other than games. The more general the subject gets, the longer it takes for it to become boring, but everything gets boring eventually. I honestly think, that life, would eventually become boring. It would take significantly longer than anything else in the universe, or our lifespan itself, but it would still happen. How long can you enjoy living, or existing? a century? a millennium? a billion years? a trillion? a googol? a googolplex? Honestly, I don't see how I could enjoy life forever. That is the beauty of being finite, it brings meaning to life itself. Side: No

Just think about it. FOREVER. That is not 100 years, that is not 100,000,000 years, no, that is FOREVER. Imagine living as long as you possibly want, and then multiply that by infinity. That is way too long, and by the time you realized what a mistake you made, you would be begging to die. But it would be to late. Plus, who is to say that your body would stay in good condition? If you lived forever, you would be 100% likely to catch a lifelong disease, and you might live forever in extreme pain or suffering. Side: No
The world would be overpopulated. You would have to watch everyone else come and go. You would regret your decision to live forever. It's strange, thinking about it this way... but it's the truth. Birth and death are meant to be; one cannot be without the other. So, in my opinion, we should be thankful for both- even though death may seem scary and dreadful right now. Side: No
