Isn't it already a problem?

Yeah, totally...I can't even imagine how much of a problem it's going to be in about 100 years from now at the rate that we keep reproducing.

Actually it is supposed to start leveling out in Africa in the next 20 or so years. However for China it will take a little while longer for their population size to stabalize. Whereas the two nations who are really in a lot of trouble are America and Japan. We actually have a reversed pyramid-population. Thanks to the baby boomer generation dieing out America's population is significantly dropping. So things will start to get interesting here in the next 40 years. (;

no kidding. i suppose those who don't realize it's a horrible problem already are the ones who wouldn't mind living like canned sardines...

I think that over population is a failure of the U.S. in exporting its culture. American culture dictates that only white, skinny women are desirable. The U.S. has been unsuccessful in getting this message out to the backwards countries on this planet. What the hell are all those men doing with ugly women? It should be banned! (;

Also, our culture dictates that the sperm goes in the mouth, not the vagina. This could work, Joe. Fixing overpopulation and world hunger at the same time.

It may also help increase gay acceptance. I mean, a mouth is a mouth, right? (;

I think you're on to something. I'll up vote you (;

It is going to be real bad in the next score or so its not so bad for us in the west but the east isn't looking so good in that department. specifically? India and China aren't looking very good for that department. They are running out of oxygen! Then again were all gonna die in 2012 rite so why worry? lol

Population is already a problem. I shouldn't have to wait in any line. I'm sure it is my God given rights to be attended to immediately. At the very least, I'm sure it is one of my constitutional rights. (;

I'm pretty sure it was the 11th Commandment.

"Thou Shalt Not Wait in Line."

It was on the back of the slab, so nobody saw it. How unfortunate.

It's quite possible. Right now we have so many people the government can't even keep up with assistance because the families having too many children can't even take care of their own families. And we're all suffering for these people. It's pretty ridiculous. However, I'm noticing women are having more and more problems having babies every decade. All of a sudden we have higher rates of cervical cancer from STDS and HPV, preventing many women from having babies. Granted, that doesn't occur til their 40's or later after they've stopped having babies, but the viruses and diseases can easily pass through the genes and infect the newborns so that they grow up incapable of having children or they end up with health defects and can hardly support themselves. The ratio of how many women have breast cancer by their 50s these days is pretty shocking itself that I'm wondering if there's something behind the whole ordeal that we're not aware of. Overall though, I think it's unpredictable. I'm not sure if it'll grow over a lot more than it is now compared to 5 decades ago, but it might.

Maybe in the far, far, far future like 1,000,000 years from now. Currently the whole world can live in China, with every corner being a building or complex of some sort. There is a lot of room on this Earth. Look at google earth and see how much free area is available to live on. 90%+ of the Earth has room to live on.

Sure, there's always more room to shove another human being, but room to "live" on? In today's world where it cost money to have a life? The more people on this planet, the more it costs for everyone to live here. And today, we're doing a crap job surviving it as it is.

Overpopulation will be a problem but the emphasis should be now and introduce birth control to those countries that need it.
