Increased Efficiency works for methane

Now there is a Democrat by the name of justignoreme that thinks increased efficiency will work for the methane gas released by humans. But the Democrat never explained how increased efficiency will work for the amount of times one has gas in one day.

Do we need Government Fart Police to tell Americans how many times they can release methane gas each day ?

I'm sure how it will turn out is white men will get unlimited emissions, non-white men will get charged with a crime and shot, and women will be expected to hold it in unless they're confessing they're just dirty whores.

Well, I missed that original debate but I think he may have had a point. Flatulence-released methane gas by both humans AND esepecially cows DO contribute far more to the Greenhouse Effect than most people know.

In fact...get this...the farts from Cows in America actually release more harmful Greenhouse gas into the atmosphere (the Troposphere to be more specific) than do ALL the cars and trucks and buses!

Oh yeah, this is not a joke.

See, it breaks down like this..................there are currently approximately 1.5 billion cows grazing, sleeping, and chewing their cud at any given time on planet Earth. And these 1,300 pound (average weight for both a beef and dairy cow) animals eat a lot. Much like humans, when they eat, gas builds up inside of their guts and has to be expelled. (See Why Beans Make You Fart) Cows fart and burp… a lot. The result is a large amount of methane being introduced into the atmosphere.

Back about 10 years ago a UN Food and Agricultural report, it claimed that the livestock sector, most of which are cows, “generates more greenhouse gas emissions as measured in CO2 equivalent – 18 percent – than transport.”

and..... According to a Danish study, the average cow produces enough methane per year to do the same greenhouse damage as FOUR TONS of carbon dioxide. So is this significantly contributing to global warming?

well.....let’s start with how and why cows produce so much methane gas. Cows, sheep, goats, giraffes, and deer belong to a class of mammals called ruminants. Most ruminants have four stomachs, two-toed feet, and store their food in the first chamber of the stomach, called the rumen, before regurgitating it. This regurgitated food is called “cud” and the animals chew it again to help further break it down to make it easier to digest.

So..... Due to the sheer number of cows on the planet, along with the large size per cow, our tasty friends produce more methane gas than all other ruminants combined.

Why is this so bad? Because Methane is twenty one times more potent at trapping heat from the Sun than carbon dioxide! Though it is less prevalent in the atmosphere than carbon dioxide, it is, by unit, the most destructive of the greenhouse gases.

Got it? Cool. So, why I think that a "farting quota" for humans is of course a silly idea and would never ever happen or even be proposed, it is important to know that the Greenhouse Gas problem is more complex than many know about. And those of us who fret over it and its impact on our planet do so with good reasons.

I missed that original debate

Me too since that isn't what actually happened. Actual debate starts here

Once he had clearly lost the argument, he needed to create a different straw man.

Increased Efficiency works for methane

You can't prove your point at all !!!!!!!!!!!

Are the Greenhouse gases killing vegetation across America ? How bad is the CO2 if all the vegetation across America is still green ! Trees are still green so explain your stupid point.

The Federal Government sent me an email this morning agreeing with JustIgnoreMe. Government is going to put in place monitors in homes for methane gas releases from each person that inhabits that home. Government made it very clear that all homes in America will be taxed on methane gas releases in that resident.
