No one is saying the internet is definitely better than traditional education, and that people should turn to the internet as their one source of information. At the end of the day, however, the accumulated information of billions of people far outweighs that of one teacher. Because there are so many independent sources of information on the internet, it is far easier to determine what information is credibly and what isn't. In a classroom you can't check information in this way, you just have to listen to what one person tells you. 606 days ago | Side: No
The internet by itself isn't the one doing the harm, it's the individual users that cause the harm. Technology is a tool. All it does is amplifies the capabilities of the user, which means that people who use it in an altruistic manner like posting research information or having a forum for exchanging ideas can use the internet to have access to more people's ideas. On the other hand, it allows malicious hackers to send harmful software that can steal your personal information. Don't blame the technology, blame the person that uses it. 603 days ago | Side: No
