Before we can begin to debate this question you need to start by defining what you consider to be "normal" people because everyone is normal to themselves

just so you know, there is a term for that: cisgender. Been around since the 1990s.

The more conversations we have to resolve our stereotypes, homophobia, misogynistic views and bigotry that still prevail the more we will open our minds to a more tolerant and accepting society

One way to endear transvestites to the rest of the populace is to have an all girls band with one secret transvestite to keep the fans guessing.

I don't think so. But I think it has to do with the fact that it's so celebrated and glorified. People like to see credit where credit is due.

I don't think so. Some people see it as empowering and inspiring, while others see the old Bruce gone and her family heartbroken. I think it's just odd to people to see a sports star become transgender. I believe "normal" people would become more comfortable with transgender people if a transgender who was just "a face in the crowd" would share his/her story instead. It's always odd to see public icons change so dramatically. It would also make people believe that, because they're famous, they're doing it all for attention. This could also carry over into real life to make people believe transgenders are all about attention. That's obviously not the case, but Caitlyn's case could be misleading.
