It isn't actually Christianity, it's RADICAL Christianity (or ANY radical religion that seems to think everyone in America must live by their rules), all laws must follow THEIR rules. We can NOT have freedom of religion with people thinking like that!
If YOU want to follow a religion, follow it! If YOU want to follow a special set of rules, FOLLOW them! AS LONG AS THEY FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION OF THE U.S.! As long as they follow majority rule! (NOT necessarily the "Religious majority)! Christians should not make rules for Jews, Muslims, Hindu's or any other religion without tearing apart the Constitution, and therefor, the United States!
As long as your religious rules don't hurt anyone within the U.S., or trample on THEIR freedoms ... religious or otherwise....I have NO problem with religion
Although I disagree with much of the agenda of the Religious Right I can still acknowledge it is their democratic right to organize and politicize and vote. That isn't "tearing us apart", it's actual democracy.
But likewise, when they sling their assertions that atheism or non-Christians or scientists are tearing us apart I have the same answer of "no" and for the same reason.
Frankly, if you want to point a finger at something tearing the US apart then point it at ideology. Period. People sign on to a specific ideology, learn the mantra that comes with it, and shut their minds off to anything that deviates from that narrative. We end up a deadlocked nation in which the only way to get anything done is to steamroll over the opposing ideologies by wielding the power of your own like a hammer. Ideologies are poisoning democracy because they hamper both individual thought as well as compromise, and the true winning formula which got the USA through hundreds of years of development has been our ability to compromise. WHERE THE F HAS THAT GONE? In fact why are the moderates shoved to the side while carnival barker extremists gather crowds at either end? It's ideology, that's why. It's decades of boiling all manner or foreign, domestic, and economic knowledge down to competing extreme ideologies, none of which truly hold the answer. The way to govern, the way to a healthy democracy, is free thought and combined ideas and compromise. The religious right used to be able to work within the broader context of a free country with civil rights. Can you do that again?
Because it affects the people's views and starts confusing morally correct versus politically correct. Christianity, as well as other religions (I guess I shouldn't have said just Christianity in the title), clouds people's judgement and makes them think more irrationally.
Is there something wrong with being morally correct? I find that people should be that way instead of being politically correct. How does Christianity cloud people's judgments and make them think irrationally? I think they think more rationally than a lot of other people out there.
Abortion: need I say more than that? Didn't know that denying people the right for them to choose what to do with their unborn child is this so called "god" you guys speak of's decision.
Does it matter if it affects the people's views? Sometimes you have to look to other sources to help you make a decision on a certain topic. If anything, Christianity is helping build America up to be a better country because more people will share a common viewpoint. And to say that religion makes people think irrationally is extremely subjective. People can choose whether or not they want religion to affect their judgement.
Your last line answers your first. I have nothing against religion until it is pushed on me in a way that says my views and judgement goes against that religion, therefor I am wrong. It matters when they try to control my views! When they want to, even INSIST on, taking away my right to choose.
First of all I dont see Christians bombing anyone. And I do not see them teariing apart neighborhoods and killing pollice officers. So I guess what you mean by tearing us apart is immorality cant exist with morality, because others morality is offensive.
A few stories Ill mention and Ill try to post a video example of them. Louisiana flood, transgender bathrooms, and black lives matter protests, Islam.
In the Louisianna flood you have people smiling and enjoying life in the face of losing everything. Neighbors helping each other. And praying together and giving hope to each other.
Then you have transgender bathrooms, where encroaching over others is an entitlement. And people are causing hardships depleating schools of funds, absolute destruction just to make an issue and a loophole that encraoches on the rights of others yo their own gender and privacy.
Then you have black lives matter tearing up their own nneighborhoods, causiing grandmothers to live without safety and protection. And killing inocent men as a statement.
Then you have Islam. Watch that for a few minutes. And watch

Fyi - Last days are here, we will see the final prophesies unfold quickly. Man is evil, violent, murderous, and hateful from their tablets. Deceptions are easy, everyone that posts something is an expert. And experts are hard to come by, they are buried under pages of unthruth.
transgender bathrooms - this matter is not about entitlement, it's about 51% of trans people attempting suicide by the time they are 21. letting a trans person use the bathroom wont fix this number that much, but it can lessen the strain that a young trans kid might face, as well as help prevent an infection from having to hold it for 8 hours/5days a week
black lives matter protests - the main point of black lives matter is to remind people that black lives do in fact matter, and that many people seem to forget or ignore that. its not about violence, but considering the way black people have been treated since the US was founded, I wouldn't blame them if they were violent. it seems that the peaceful protests just don't make as much of an impact as they used to.
Islam - when someone misinterprets, or even downright ignores what their holy book says, you really can't blame the religion. so there are extremist, yes, but like most religions, the backbone of islam is peace and love
and as for the Christians not bombing anyone - honey, do you realize that all of our presidents have been christian and we bomb the living shit out of the middle east on a daily basis?
actually, all of our presidents have been christian. also, of those christians, only one has been catholic. We came pretty close to having a jewish democratic candidate, but that fell through.
The answer to everyones problems isnt to feed into this emotionalism. Encroaching on society and others is a piss poor answer! There are a lot of groups of people who deal with the same thing. When did an individuals personal strugles become everyones problem by force? Your all nuts!

That is your opinion. Other peoples problems shouldnt be forced on others. You have to manage bathrooms as you see fit. Why must society bear your burden?
This is how they messed up the brains of millennials. They think society is highschool. And words of bullies are a class issue. But somehow they solidified it as the only management of conflict.
How about grow a pair, and own your dilemma, and learn to manage your own personal quirks. Its your thing, fine but it doesnt have to be forced on everyone.
If I have anxiety, should I manage by actions by my own needs. Or should I require evetyone to make a special allowance for all my percieved needs?

No, the Supreme court penned an extreme law that took a personal descission to be a matter of force in the lives of others.
Peoples marriages are not a matter of public opinion. Nor are they a matter of public participation. We dont care what the world does, the world that is passing away ultimately is not God's.
The children of darkness are not His children. We do not have a concern in their private matters. The problem is when it is forced as a public matter. Why do we want everyone elses life blobbing out and suffocating us?

Its a parade of personal problems day and night. Since when did the emotional well being of fragile people become everyones problems by gorce of legislation?
Christians, over the history of the entire religion, have killed more people than any other religion has and they continue to do so as well. I just don't like to take the side of a religion that has had a history of murderous tendencies and clouds people's realism of it by blaming other religions.
That is not what happened. By passivism and anti-violence the Christians were martyred and persecuted and pushed out to hide in the hills. And there were murders of Christians in the millions.
And Revelations paints a picture of Catholocism. Both the Roman and Bizatine Empire. And then also Islam.
Wars have surrounded God's people. All around Israel and all around the church, the true Bible believer following Jesus in simplicity. Without being worldly. Catholocism was all about worldliness.
And both the Christian in heart, and the Jews have always been and are focal points. Of dark age Catholocism, Muslims, Germans, and militant atheism which infiltrated into the fabric of Westernization and continues to push Judeo-Christian values underground.
And just because they politicized Christianity in purpose to control society doesnt mean they were Christian.
The Bible I read has a lot of scriptures showing wolves in sheeps clothing. And even paints a picture of them.
Then He goes on with the eight woes. And it includes murdering

Prove its fiction. I have an exceedingly well rounded, line upon line, multi dimenensional body of evidence, that is piled up as high as heaven!
I have so much evidence, it is unreasonable and without a logical argument to refute Him and His Word! Not one argument can stand on any merit. The validity of God and the proof of His Word is so copious and confirmed, that those who are blinded by deceptions today, will slap themselves tomorrow for all eternity!
If you dont know the logic, then you obviously did not weigh the evidence! You are accountable to seek truth. Its there loud and clear like a blowing round of Trumpets!

I will highlight pieces, but too much to detail. Ask on each if you want to discuss.
A) Over 300 prophesies told of Jesus in detail, even down to calculating days till when Jesus entered Jerusalem on the donkey. 23 prophesies just in Psalms.
.....1) The crucifiction death was described for the Messiah 700 years before crucifixion even existed. (In several old testament scriptures, in different "books" of the Bible -old testament Jewish scriptures) FYI Jews rejected Him, just as foretold, and their scriptures tell of Him word for word. Did the Jews do this on purpose?
Read Psalm 22, it sound like it was dictated verbatum from the activity around the cross, and His words from the cross.
Now He may have been able to fill in words spoken from the cross by knowledge of the scripture. But thats only a small piece of fulfilment in this one chapter of Psalms!
Could Jesus have invented and orchestrated the crucifixtion in time or even at all? Because Psalm 22 sounds just like a crucifixion.
Jews didn't invent crrucifixion, it was a Persian- Roman execution. Did Jesus orchestrate Roman guards dividing His garments, or could he have scheduled the guards to give Him vinegar to drink?
And could He have forced the hand of Pilot? It was the Jews that brought the crime against Jesus to Pilot. Jesus wasnt stirring up the Romans. He was just making Pharisees miserable, but they did not control Roman rules at all. So then Pharisees thought of as worms in Roman rule, won a verdict in a court that really had no reason or willingness to crucify Jesus. So did Jesus orchestrate it through conspiracies? Is it reasonable to think He even could have??
Then you have Paul a murderer of Christians, without good reason leave notoriety and respect of Jews, to preach Jesus to gentiles as a poured out bond servant. No promise of wealth or a book deal, but a promise of harship and prison and martyrdom. Again resonable logic, why did he?
Then you have details of prophesy filled throughout history. Again line upon line. Literally like dominoes in a laid out specific order. 2000 of which have been fulfilled. And 500 that are evident to be in process ready to be fulfilled. Again a few vague one like in Nostradomous you can dismiss. And Satan can get some right dimly, but he doesnt know details. And his plan is twarted, so his plans often fulfill in part. But God's fulfill in measure upon measure. God makes sure it is so thick of evidence, not one can open their mouth on the last day!
He shows evidence everywhere, and confirms it in His Word.
He has even hidden his messages in letters, beyond mathmatical probability to the ridiculous degree!
Thats why He often says He will make the wise foolish, and will mock at their stupidity. Why mock? Because they mislead themselves, and that is bad, but they also made many stumble, and their foolishness will be on display. And also God will hold every mouth and pen accountable for their part in deceptions, evils, and murders on the last day. (How many will be included by their pen in murders of babies, and cops, and how many will be accountable for teaching against God the creator, the student to the professor, and how many in media will pay for spinning and steering by lies.
And He confirms in nature, and in its order. He also shows His truth in every field of study, and mankind wars against Him.
Here are a few examples of in letters
In two Creation verses, one in Hebrew and the other written in Greek.
Genesis 1: 1 Just in the first verse by one type of "code" He has adv of math - pi. Now that could possibly, but not easily be dismissed as a lucky coincidence.
But not with God!
He confirms He did it on purpose! So in John 1: 1 in Greek. He shows another advanced math in the same type of code. In two separate time periods, and Im sure it wasnt on purpose. But John 1: 1 again in the 1st verse, inspired into code is the adv math formula for "e"
Then you have TORH written backward and forward like bookends in 5 books of the TORH. Did they even have any cultures writing from left to right during Moses day?
Yet in the 49 interval its found in pairs, 2 forward, 2 backward, with YHWY in the middle book. Intervals of 49 for TORH but YHWH is at intervals of 7. Which is His special number and is a squ root of the 49. Again these arent hidden deeply or twisted.
The are not reasonable in math probability. They are the signature of the Author! Then He even confirms it, West write left to right and East writes right to left. All the writing either direction point to the Word of God, YHWH. And to add even further as God does! Jesus Christ sits on the timeline of history. Not mahommad or buddah or evolution, God is mocking educational atheism and skepticism from proof even sitting on the whole worlds dating system. BC and AD.
And all of these things together are just the tip of the iceberg!
There is more and more and more, all equally as fabulous.
So now each of these alone could be soeculative, but God has made the evidence undeniable! So all will be accountable in the face of stacks to Heaven of evidence. And they still refuse His Salvation. They rather stay in the fall of darkness, then to be carried out through the eye of a needle!
So just cause I predicted that my friend was gonna trip on a rock makes me a god now? Great, time to convince someone to make a church in my name and murder millions for little-to-no reason whatsoever.
I guess the problem is you are so out of ability to understand the Bible that it doesnt make sense to you.
God pours out confusion to people who reject Him. Even the simplest precepts are like looking through the eyes of alzheimers disease. Where the pieces are disjointed because of confusion.
The Holy Spirit adhjusts the focus of the lens for clarity.
Eyes of understanding is a lens focusing issue. With the Holy Spirit we see clarity. We see one big picture, with all the puzzle pieces fitting as id clarifying the completed puzzle. Methodically assembled to make one picture with every piece fitting perfectly. And not just a flat picture. A multidimmensional sphere with layers and depth. All fitting! Every piece adding clarity upon clarity.
The final pieces are being put together in our lifetime.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 15:13) Greater love hath no man that this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (John 1:10-12) He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.(Revelation 3:20 , Jesus says to all ) Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Romans 5:7-8) For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
No. Secularism has turned this place into a hell hole. No standard. No objective set of rules. Everything is to be tollerated and all rules are up for debate.
