CreateDebate is a social debate community built around ideas, discussion and democracy.
If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.

Well... Mary may have called out "Oh God, oh god!" when that little bastard son of hers was conceived, but I doubt that really means God was the father.
Which means he imagined what the painting should look like and then painted that painting. It doesn't mean that he used his own visible looks. He created a completely new look.
God does not have a penis! That is an instrument of sin!
If you've seen the painting of Yaweh than you would understand, not only is God male but he is black also (really it doesn't even fucking matter because in all reality God is non existent.)
God made us to be physical beings, not non-physical beings. Adam was put into the garden to bear the image of God, which is to say that Adam was to be the rule of the earth and to care for and tend to it. However, this was corrupted, which is why Christ came. When Christians die, they are received into God's presence, but they are no longer physical beings. God will then, at a certain time, have the earth and heaven pass away, and make the new heaven and the new earth appear, which will have New Jerusalem affixed upon it, so that God may dwell with His people for ever and ever. Praise be to God! This means that, after the resurrection of the dead, we will have bodily sexes.
What confuses me is that in the bible, it says god made woman (Eve) after he created man (Adam), but it also states he created a "pair" of each animal, so did God origionally intend for humans to reproduce asexually, but then changed his mind after he saw how lonely Adam was?
I've actually read before that certain Esoteric Religions teach that humans were originally meant to be asexual...
Anyways, if you read Genesis carefully, you'll see that the Bible says that God made all sea creatures and birds on the fifth day. On the sixth day he made all land creatures and then he made humans. Now if you read a little bit further, to the part where it goes more in depth on the creation of humans (Adam and Eve), it says this: Genesis 2:19 "And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof."
One chapter earlier the Bible said that God created animals first, now it's saying that he created man first? This to me suggests two different writers... or it could just be a mistake of one writer... and before the real philosophical Christians say it, Genesis 2:19 could also be referring to every kind of animal. In other words, a horse, a cow, a bird, etc. all created at that time for the purpose of Adam naming them. I don't know, what do you think?
It was not good for Adam to be alone. He needed a helper, someone he could be in communion with, and have a relationship with. God had intended for humans to reproduce sexually from the very beginning; God simply wanted to show man the importance of human relations, and to show that God will always provide, though we may think He is not doing so.
A confused nine year old boy goes up to his mother and asks, "Is God male or female?" After thinking for a moment, his mother responds, "Well God is both male and female."
This confuses the little boy, so he asks, "Is God black or white?" She replies, "Well, God is both black and white."
This further confuses the boy so he asks, "Is God gay or straight?" At this the mother is getting concerned, but answers none the less, "Honey, God is both gay and straight."
At this the boy's face lights up with understanding and he triumphantly asks "Is God Michael Jackson?"
