Is"God" real
Is God Heaven and all that other crap real or just fairy tales.
What proof. there is only century old theory's. God and heaven is used to scare us into being good thats what all the rulers wanted and the idea of a higher power controling were you go when you die was a very good way to do that. It's like the toothe fairy,HE DOESNT EXIST. If you think everything in the bible is true than you are mistaken I can write you a story full of B.S and call it the Bible 2. The human mind is weak and back then they didnt have the facts to know how the world works so they said it's "GODS" will. When we die we are dead end of story, No heaven No Hell Just nothing. Side: God is real
Well, you probably haven't even read the bible before. It is the perfect guide to being a Christian. It says in the bible that you need faith to believe in god and I did just that and he helped me through everything.I know you think that there is no god but he is invisible and you need to believe in him to feel his presence, and you need to accept Jesus Christ as your saviour to have eternal life in heaven. It's all true, you need faith. Side: God is real
What about the things that were predicted to happen that have happend?.. Can you argue with them? Can you say that earthquakes, wars etc happend like the bible predicted and still not believe in god himself for what human can actually predicts the events of the future?.. What do you believe in? Have you ever heard of chance? Just because things have been prediticed and they happened to come true does not prove anything. If I were to say I am going to get sick in the next month and it happened to happen it would merely be by chance not becaused I predicticed it. Also things are more likely to happen if people believe they are going to happen. Side: God is a fairy tale

It's impossible to say whether or not God is a tangible, real thing. However, I tend to lean towards the side that he's fictitious. Religion, or perhaps more accurately, superstition are entirely a way that one used in ancient times to explain natural events. Now however, we know how the "miraculous" events of old actually could occur. One of the biggest flaws in this unthinking belief in an omnipotent and omnipresent being is that there have been so many religions, and many will be many more. How do Christians explain the Greek gods besides claiming they were false idols? How did the Greeks dispute the Egyptian Gods? How do the Jews explain the Christian god? The answer? An unsupportable claim that theirs is the real God, and all others before and after are and will be false idols. Of course! Now it makes sense! Side: God is a fairy tale

God is as real as one believes. -Isn't it great to have a greater being help you in need and make sure the world goes round? Yes -Is it actually true? Probably Not What are the chances that things happen because of natural (mother earth) and cultural (society) influence. Are we to believe that we are blessed when ever something good happens to us and punished when something bad happens. Or is it the choices we make effect our life, or even the choices others make effect our life. If someone was drinking and driving - that was their choice. They drove down a certain street to go home - that was their choice. A mother is driving home at that time from work - that was her choice. They get into an accident and the mother dies leaving behind a child and husband. It wasn't her choice to die, but all our choices brings us to chance, and chance is unpredictable when you are unaware. We chose to believe because we are uneasy to think we are alone in this world and the loss of a loved one strikes us hard. Depression kicks in and we lose all hope. if there wasn't a god there would be allot more suicides and bad people in the world. God isn't a super being, God is guide to live a better life for the better of your fellow man. Side: God is a fairy tale
I'm of the opinion that a god or higher deity is almost like a psychosomatic illness - if someone believes in it enough, to that one person it is truly real. However, I do not believe that any one god is real, including the Christian one which I presume is the one brought up in this debate, as I do not invest myself in Christian texts and belief systems. This is why people should be free to believe in whichever religion, or the lack of one if one wishes without having others enforce their beliefs on another - the best way to solve a debate is to provide incontestable evidence which goes against the nature of most religions that insist on faith and self discovered "proof". Religion in its base form was brought forth by primitive humans to explain things that happened that they didn't understand - you have cultures religion explaining where humans came from, why the moon is in the sky, and other basic things that were incomprehensible to primitive man. More modern religions continue on this same path, including the supplement of religious stories to help explain and lead the followers to what said religion sees as correct, as determined by many many humans over many many years.
