As I have mentioned several times before in other debates we created God to answer the unanswerable questions as to the why, what, where, when etc. Questions that science still has a way to go in answering and for the moment are answered through a faith system in which the individual believes that the unanswered cannot be answered so that is the answer and through faith in God that he/she knows the answer. We created religion to support this concept and so all religions are basically saying the same things most likely because the prophets of those religions spent a lot of time travelling the known world learning what other people thought about this subject in a lot of other places. So to encourage the faithful and bring others into the flock we invented the immortal soul which gives some people the view that life is meaningful and has purpose. Then we invented heaven and hell as the good guy/bad guy routine so that we would confess our sins and avoid hell by going to heaven. This gave the person receiving the confession power over them because they now knew what they had been up to and they could play the good guy or bad guy whichever was required when dealing with the public. So in the end game it is an atheist/agnostic - theist debate. Yes Heaven and Hell are there for those who believe in them and for the others no they are not there, they are simply a means of social control Side: Nope,My bro doesnot agree

''Hell fire''! What about the energy crisis, the damage to the environment and the ozone layer. I mean what sort of a irresponsible Devil have we got? Maybe we're in hell right now. How do we know that the parents of other galaxies don't tell their children to be good and eat up their vegetables or they'll go to earth and have to listen to politicians telling lies for eternity. That's what the Bible says;Well 'Hell fire' means lying in the danger of Hell, which though is quite a skeptical term;talk about energy crisis I believe deuterium( isotope of hydrogen)needed for nuclear fusion would be available there;we are living in 'Kalyuga' a term which one of pals use probably mean danger or bad, rusty times. The type of Hell believed in the Abrahamic Religions is made up. It comes from the rubbish dump in Ancient Israel, where the dead bodies of criminals were burnt. That is where the idea originated from, it is entirely fictional. As for Hell in other religions (e.g. Naraka in Hinduism and Buddhism); I don't know whether there is strong evidence that they are fictional but they are still very far fetched ideas and the burden of proof lies on them.
