Is Hunting Cruel?

Do you believe hunting is cruel or just a part of life and tradition?

To kill anyone is possibly defined as cruel. Here the point is when you hunt someone, or something, how to call your action? Well, as Quocalimar said, if you are hunting for fun, it is definitely cruel, but, if you hunt for living, it is another matter of facts.

if your hunting to kill and eat thats fine but if your hunting to fufill rich people wadrobes with minx coats and foxes fur and hunting so you can take there horns then no its not right if your gonna hunt for materialistic reasons then why is that right they never done anything to anyone.

Side: Yes

Animals can't defend for themselves. If animals had the ability to handle rifles, then maybe I would change my opinion.

Side: Yes

Hunting is part of nature. I mean a part of the definition for cruel, labels it as causing pain and suffering, but that's not it's main objective. If you're hunting for sport it's cruel, if you're killing what you eat it's not.

Maybe I should have made my question more clear. I'm meaning hunting for food. What most hunters do in the US, Canada, and those in the UK.
