Is Obama's presidential team a bunch of idiots?

Most politicians seem to check their brains at the door when they get elected, anyway. It's all you can expect when someone's already been about as successful as they can be in the business world and then they just... Move on to bigger and, well, I guess you could say better things. Not all of them, remember, I'm not saying all of them are like this, it's just that it seems like many politicians are moving on to something more powerful.

There's no better indication that Obama represents Business As Usual in DC than the handful of corrupt, self-interested people he's assembled. Everything I've read about these guys is shady.

Corrupt? Shady? Who?

They seem like pretty good people to me.

Or does "corrupt and shady" mean involved in capitalistic endeavors?

Please spare me any links from wake-up-sheeple.com

Considering that they gave the Queen of England an Ipod when she already owns one and made that misspelling on that button they pressed with Russia I'd say they don't know what they are doing.

Side: those guys don't look bright

I don't know those people but Obama's body language says it all ;)

Obama looks tired not annoyed. Obama ALWAYS looks tired actually. But anyway, I think his team is smarter than the average person, (duh), but most of the people he picked, me and my husband were like, "is he serious?" Like, he picked the previous Arizona Governor, Napolitano, for Dept of Homeland Security, and she could hardly control the Arizona border, and now she's expected to protect the US borders (To some degree)?

So, I conclude two possibilities, either he truly picked dumb people, and if so, I seriously wonder why because he's not that dumb of a guy. Or two, he sees something or knows something about all these people that we don't see/know. Either way, we'll find out over the next year or two.

Well maybe he chose Napolitano because he doesn't want the border to be THAT secure. Maybe he likes illegal immigration. :) (I don't.... haha)

Steven Chu has a Nobel Prize.

Larry Summers was President of Harvard University.

Robert Gates directed the CIA.

These are all very smart, highly qualified people.

"Steven Chu has a Nobel Prize."

So did Yasser Arafat. The Nobel prize is a joke.

Yasser Arafat and Al Gore both got the Nobel Peace Prize. I agree that one is less meaningful.

Steven Chu, however, got the Nobel Prize in Physics, which puts him in the company of Albert Einstein and Neils Bohr. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nobel_laureates_in_Physics

Side: They look bright to me

Oh come on, they'll give a Nobel Prize to anyone. Even Gore got one ;)

Yeah, they'll give it to just anyone to contributes to science in a way that helps humanity. Those a$$holes!

Side: They look bright to me

What type of look might they have to have on their faces in order for anyone to say they look bright or not. I'll go with their credentials and say they "look" pretty bright to me. As far as Janet Napolitano goes, I believe she knows more than anyone else he may have chosen to head off the homeland security team.

Side: They look bright to me

Maybe, but I'm not talking about "What type of look might they have to have on their faces in order for anyone to say they look bright or not."

I'm talking about Obama. Obama's body language says it all ;)

If that is he with the whit shirtsleeve rm, that's all I see except the end of his crossed leg. No face there! WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
