Is Obama still worthy of left-wing support?

I understand many feel he is the lesser of the two evils, (I agree) but realistically, is he worthy of your vote? After he failed to make good on his promises to end the Bush tax cuts for the rich, lay off medical marijuana, end the war, and combat climate change? I mean, when it comes to the collusion of government with Wall street, the failed war on drugs, our bloated prison system, and the industrial-military complex etc Obama and Romney are essentially the same candidate. He claims to stand for the common man and the downtrodden, then turns around and hands trillions to the oligarchs.

These are just accomplishments and don't take into account differences in philosohy with Romney on issues like the Dream Act, Roe v Wade, etc. that will likely be pivotal again next term.

Democrats should be very enthusiastic about re-electing Obama.

Side: Yes

His pragmatism is not a reason for opposing him. Extending the Bush tax cuts was part of a compromise package to extend unemployment benefits for 13 months (though it also extended the earned income tax credit, reduced payroll taxes, extended business and tuition tax credits. There were also extensions of tax incentives for biodiesel, clean coal, and home efficiency, etc.)

It also passed right after the Dems got their ass handed to them in the 2010 elections and before an even more radical Congress would take office - with whom it is possible that there would have been no deal to make.

Mitt Romney not only wants to make that tax cut permanent, but wants another 20% across the board cut on top of that (whithout saying how).

Anyone who thinks these 2 guys are the same isn't paying attention.

Side: Yes

The Left Wing support is certainly not going to the Republicans.

Side: Yes

Finally, someone who understands that Obama and Romney are the same candidate with minor differences.

Side: No

Is Romney worthy of left-wing support? No? Ok, then there's your answer.
