I own both consoles, and the thing is imo xbox has way better titles and a lot of them niche titles, which no one counts for, e.g naruto games. That said Ps3 does have the free net and people really need to stop using this as an excuse because you can get xbox live for £28 a year maybe unnecessary costs but its hardly gonna break the bank. And as far as specs go, the Ps3 has better specs yes. But does it use them? Hell no. The only game i have seen with significant graphical superiority is call of duty. Which moves me onto my next point. Is graphics really everything? i mean come on, I'd play one of the Mgs's on ps2 over the 4th any day, or one of the early street fighter's over a lot of modern fighters. Also all these people talking garbage about how ps3 has built in wi fi but it dosent even come with a headset! whats the good in having online when you gotta get killed umpteen times sending a god dam text message! The community online is far better on xbox and you don't need wifi if your close to your Internet hub. Who cares if xbox has been around longer? it's got the players deal with it. In my personal comparison i honestly feel ps3 has got the right stuff but it's not working it, i honestly don't get enjoyment out of my ps3 i buy it for games not for its bluray or any of that crap so you ps3 fans need to stop using that, cause we are buying consoles to play games... 363 days ago | Tagged As: Xbox is better
ok, first off lets throw out the option of buying the regular xbox, its cheep and it shows it. they break more times than not and basically have no memory. alright now the elite cost just as much as the PS3 but cant hang. -PS3 higher HDMI output -PS3 free online -PS3 rechargeable controllers -PS3 built in wifi -PS3 internal power source -PS3 blue ray -PS3 less glitches -PS3 never brake so please xbox community let me know how in any way shape or form the xbox can even be sold in the same store as playstation...? 94 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
you dont have to pay if you go to silver but you had 2 pay $600 in the u.s £350 in the u.k and now they make a slimmer version theres no point making a slimmer version im going to admit it, its more attractive in look wise but the slimmer version killed the way it looks 89 days ago | Tagged As: Xbox is better
Halo 3 is a brilliantly desighned game because - 1: you can make your own maps on forge 2: you can make your own game modes 3:there are over 20 different online game modes 4: there is a competitive ranked system online - where do you think C.o.d. got the idea? 5:the campaign is not only epic and can be played with up to 4 people at once but also has the hidden skulls. 6: It's vast storyline and Awesome charecters 7:you can customise you appearance 8:You can playback awesome moments in theatre mode 54 days ago | Tagged As: Xbox is better
i have something to prove as soon as xbox said they was going to get facebook and twitter added to xbox live the day after it went to xbox live the ps3 copied it and the ps3 made games nobody would like for instance killzone 2 it has nothing on any of the halo series and who needs blu ray when you have hd or hdmi 89 days ago | Tagged As: Xbox is better
PS3 has great graphics and have blue ray and all. But Xbox has way better games then PS3. Games like Halo3, Dead or Alive, Call of Duty, Gears of war, and etc. Im not saying ps 3 games are boring, MGS4 and Little big planet looks interesting, but i believe Xbox has more variety of games. With my personal experience, my bro bought the ps3 and we only used it for blue ray dvd. and we rarely played any games on it :P. We got so bored of it that we sold it to his friend couple wks later :P 441 days ago | Tagged As: Xbox is better

two words why ps3 is better than Xbox 360 : RED RING, not to mention the fact that more of the newer games on both consoles eg. MW2 support Ps3 more than 360,(said by infinity ward themselves so dont bother arguing) and it is putting its capacity in use, its not playstation who make the games with detail retards remember? the companies do, another game, crysis 2 is coming out only on PC and PS3 because they are the only two machines/consoles which can handle it, DUHHH, another example, MAG-massive action game-coming out only on ps3 can hold up to 256 players on the one map, that in itself is something ridiculous,i havent seen Xbox try and do that so the gaming community is getting better, and truth be told: Xbox is on the way out and PS3 is only now being kicked into gear, specifically because of the more affordable prices, and new games. 119 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
btw, my friend has both 360 and ps3, he used to like 360 mainly because of games like halo 3 and gears of war, but he realised that Mw2, which is out on both consoles rips both apart, so why care about halo its crap now, and ODST is only making it worse.we need a new fresh game out, on which ever console preferrably both, thatll liven things up the way halo 1 and cod4 did back in the day. 119 days ago | Tagged As: Xbox is better
Xbox is the clear winner for me for 7 reasons 7: I had an Xbox and a Ps3 and yes my Xbox broke within two years but this was fixed within a week and I was compensated by microsoft. Sony took 3 months to get it back to me when it broke and I was not compensated. My Xbox has not broken since. 6: Project Natal - Look it up 5: The Xbox 360 Elite has an external HD DVD player for a good price. 4: It has a built-in HDMI and it comes with an HDMI cable, and a Headset unlike the PS3. 3: The Xbox 360 Elite has a 120 GB Hard Drive andthe PS3, with its 80 GB, can’t compete. Also the Xbox... 360 Elite is around £30 less than the PS3. 2:The games are awesome for any model of the Xbox 360. Some great titles are Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Gears of war, Left 4 dead and Crackdown and many more. 1: Xbox Live. Xbox Live is one of the most fun things on my own Xbox 360 console I had a PS3 and the Online community just doesn’t compare. Just things like an Easier system, proper avatars, custom themes, free demos and the latest news, previews and reveiws A clear winner. 54 days ago | Tagged As: Xbox is better

The PS3 is stronger. The RSX Graphical Processing Unit has been clocked at 1.8TFLOPS, a very powerful figure. It features the Cell processor which has seven cores running at 3.2GHz. In comparison, the 360 has only three cores running at 3.2GHz, and its overall performance is clocked at 1TFLOP. The PS3's GPU tops an entire 360 by itself, without bringing in its processor. The PS3 is cheaper. Yes, cheaper. For $300, you could get a 360 with 60GB disk space, or you could get a 80GB PS3 for $400, paying only $100 extra for all those things the 360 lacks: More powerful hardware, Bluray player, integrated WiFi, free online gaming, rechargeable gamepads (thus saving batteries), and media center capabilities. With its powerful hardware, the PS3 is much more future-proof than the 360, which still works on DVDs. The PS3 is more reliable. The machine has an integrated AC adapter, the fans are perfectly silent, it has extremely rare hardware failure issues while the 360 fails over and over with the infamous Red Ring of Death issue, and many other heating issues. Concerning games, the PS3 has had many exclusive blockbusters. Little Big Planet, Resistance 1/2, KillZone 2, Heavenly Sword, Metal Gear Solid 4, Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted, and many more. I do agree on the point that the 360 also has many great games, so I'll just say that it depends on which system you feel has games that you would personally enjoy playing more. The PS3 does more stuff. It also functions as a Bluray player, what with Bluray winning the HD format war, this fact has its importance rising with time, as BD slowly overpowers DVD as the leading format for movies (and games!). It works as a media center, allows you to share music and videos between your HDTV and your computer. The PS3 has not sold as much as the 360, nor does it have as big a community or as many games as the 360, but that's only because it was released a while after the 360. In the last two years, the PS3 has sold more units than the 360 did in its first two years of release. 405 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better

i sure hope you enjoy playing your games for five minutes at a time because after about five good minutes of gaming your going to get to invest in a new drive... so really why would you rather spend your money on something sucky when you could be buying a PS3 thats never going to brake and your can do whatever you want on it?? 72 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better

PS3 is quite superior for many reasons. 1. FREE online play. Unlimited. 2. Many 360 fanboys feel that PS Home is a goofy gimmick and isn't a selling point. While this may be true, they forget one key thing-it's FREE! You don't pay for the game or for the time you play online. (Unless you want to shop). 3. Much more powerful (look it up if you care to know the specs) 4. You can turn the PS3 into anything you want. It is a full on entertainment system. Free added blu ray, you can install another OS and run emulators, you can install downloaded blu ray movies or play them from USB. 5. You CAN plug in and recharge your controller into anything with USB. 6. Sixaxis capability. 7. While over 33% of 360s have been faulty or required repair, only 0.2% of PS3s have. 8. Resistance, God of War, Little Big Planet, Uncharted. 9. 120 GB or 160 GB? I'll take 160. After owning a 360 for almost two years (and having to refurbish the drive), I finally got a PS3 for a few reasons. I must say, the PS3 SLAUGHTERS the 360. The 360 is a fine system and has some great exclusive games, but so does the PS3, and with all of its added amenities and reliability, it's no contest. PS3 hands down is not only a far superior gaming system, it's in a league of it's own as an ultra-powerful full on entertainment system. 441 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better

Ps3 is far more better then xbox 360 elite because 1)Ps3 has BLU RAY disc while 360 still has DVD.2)Ps3 has free online games while 360 has to be paid to play.3)Ps3 controller is six axix and is rechargeble in USB port while u have to buy six axis seperatly and non rechargeble battery.4)Ps3 graphics is much more better than 360.5)ps3 has built in power supply 87 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
They broke MD-5 Encryption by hooking a bunch of PS3s up together. I'd love to see them try that with X-Boxes. As for the versatility of the PS3, well if you install Linux on it and find some good emulation software you can run any last generation game you want. Plus all those Super Nintendo classics. 368 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
the PS3 Saves you money in the long run. Think about it, if you buy a gaming system, your not going to go out and buy a brand new one a year later. Not unless your name is Mr. Moneybags. So lets say you have a nice 1080p HDTV. You have surround sound and a huge HDTV cable package. You want to finish you home theater with a gaming system and a blue-ray player. You have invested a lot of money into this and it will not change for 2 to 3 years. If you buy a Xbox 360, which the last time i checked was $260 (I'm not counting arcade cause it's a piece of crap), you still have to buy a $200 blue-ray player. That makes $460 dollars, 60 more than the cost of a PS3. Now what if you want online multiplayer for 2 years. It'll cost you an extra $100. That makes $560. If you buy a PS3 instead, you get free online multiplayer, plus a blue-ray player. It make cost more at first, but it save you money in the long run. I haven't even mentioned the many other ways it is better. One final thought, if your into multimedia and your not a 24/7 gamer, the ps3 is the way to go. For you hardcore 24/7 gamers, buy an xbox 360 and spend your live savings on it. 221 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
PS3... The greatest console known to man. Yet Xbox fans still feel they have a fight? I own both a PS3 and a Wii, but never will I own an Xbox 360. I prefer systems that don't come with features like "A Health Ring" that shows you that your system is going to die. Just think, the Xbox 360 is DESIGNED so you can see that Red Ring of Doom. My PS3 has never overheated or even had the chance to get anywhere near high temperatures, and I can actually play it (without ever having to purchase an Intercooler Fan) for 10+ hours at a time. I went to the local Game Crazy store and behind the counter, there were sitting five Xbox 360 consoles waiting for repairs, and the store employees said that they have not seen one PS3 be brought in. Now to clear things up about controller vibration... My PS3 controller vibrates. I don't know what the deal was about the rumors about "no vibration", but the name DUAL SHOCK states that the controller vibrates. 360 controllers don't have any sort of motion sensor. PS3 controllers, in fact, do. What about batteries? PS3 controllers take no batteries, unlike your Xbox controllers. PS3 controller dies 30 hours later? Plug it right in to your system and it charges without interrupting gameplay. Yes, you can still play while your PS3 controller charges. The Xbox 360 does have more games, but if you 360 fans believe that having more games is a good argument, the Wii has over twice as many. What does it matter to have more games if they aren't any good? Halo is the only real reason to own an Xbox, but in my opinion, Halo's story mode sucks and I am not a believer in playing games only for their multiplayer option. Have fun paying for Xbox live, my PS3 gets internet for FREE, and that even includes INTERNET BROWSING. It even comes with the internet receiver built in. The argument of Xbox having better graphic quality is a comletely foolish and absent minded argument. I'll make it easy for you. PS3 - 1080i Xbox - 720p Now that that's over with, would you Xbox fans like to argue that a squirrell is larger than an elephant? That isn't even half the things I can tell about why the PS3 is better than the Xbox, but if you're still "Pro Xbox" then I suggest you go do some real EDUCATED research and maybe come up for an intelligent argument, which I have never heard from a 360 fan. Would you rather have an Xbox 360 that's guaranteed to malfunction for $299 which results in more money out of your pocket and comes with nothing built in, or a PS3 which will last you years for $499 and has everything you need? 131 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
Well, can't say I'm on either side since i don't have a PS3 (plan on getting one for X-mas). But, to defend the Xbox, I'll break down your arguments a bit: 1. Red Ring/Overheat: No real argument here. The Red Ring is quite an issue and Microsoft should be embarrassed with how bad it had gotten. They may have improved it a bit, but it's nowhere near as bad as it once was. As for the overheating, I have never heard much problems about that. The intercooler fan may actually make it worse from what I have heard though. So that may be the problem, not the Xbox. 2. You're argument about plugging in the controllers seems a bit flawed. In other words, buy a controller that has a cord and you don't have to even worry about losing power to it. But Xbox controllers have rechargable batteries, so I don't really see what the big difference is there. I've used mine off and on for about two years and haven't had to recharge it once. And when I need to, I just do the same thing you do with your PS3 controller. So the PS3 has no advantage there. 3.The games thing depends on the tastes of the player. You say Xbox games suck, others say PS3 games suck. Not much to argue about there in terms of preferences. As for multiplayer, it may be free on PS3, but I have seen the PS3 online in action and it's nowhere near as good as Xbox Live. I woudl rather pay $50 a year then deal with constant lag and kick-outs. And if I want internet, I'll get on my laptop. it allows me to get around the web much faster and type much faster. Good luck on the crappy key pads that come out with the game systems. 4. The graphics argument. If you must know, Xbox does have the ability to do 1080i, but the PS3 does have a slight advantage with 1080p. Sad thing is, it is a SLIGHT advantage. Not that big of a difference. Plus, most PS3 games dont' do 1080p. I think there is less then 10 games that actually allow for that resolution. But to go even farther, most games look better on the Xbox 360. Check out Lens of Truth. They compare games for both systems in not only gameplay, but graphics as well. The reason Xbox wins quite a bit of these comparisons has something to do with the PS3 just being a port of the Xbox and less time spent on the PS3 so they can get the games out on time. The PS3 has the hardware to work better, but most games don't put the time or effort to actually use it to it's full potential. There's your educated research. Oh, and hey, I don't have to wait 10-15 min. to even begin playing a video game on the 360. I know how much the PS3 loves those downloads before the game even begins... True, one of the biggest problems with the 360- the red ring of death. Once your xbox is RODDED, its a piece of junk. (You have to have Microsoft send you a new one, which kind of shows that they admit to the problem). There are not many frequent incidents of this on the PS3, whereas the XBOX has a 53% faiulre rat in regard to the problem. 125 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
The only reason more people play 360 is because its less expensive. If PS3 and 360 were the same price there would not be more people playing 360. Another reason is that 360 came out before ps3 so everybody got it. PS3 is alot newer so that means that the PS3 is more up to date with technology than the 360 proving that the PS3 is better. You have to use batteries just to use a 360 controller and if you look closely the 360 controller looks nothing like the old xbox controller it looks more like the playstation controller which means that they copied sony. 44 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
i, personally have played both and in my opinion the Ps3 is at least 10x better...the XBox may have "better" games but that is only due to the fact that they have been around longer as stated previously...lets see just how much longer they will last...i give them only another year or 2 ps3 is going to last until Sony makes something better and then will still be great...just look at the original PlayStation. in fact i still play it for the amazing games. and Ps3 allows you to play them again...granted the Ps3 has the YLoD just as the XBox has the RRoD but then what system can anyone say "never fails" thats just not possible everything dies eventually. not only that but those of you who said something along the lines of "Microsoft is awesome" need to learn their lesson i mean just check out this page ( http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/ 25 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 ALL DAY ALL DAY ALL DAY
The PlayStation3 has free online play and as the Xbox 360 you have to pay each month for online. Microsoft was good at there PC games not for there online playing. The idea of the PlayStation Network was just great (Sony keep that up). But besides Xbox 360, the origional Xbox was good (besides the online). I think that Microsoft sent the 360 out to early to get all the bugs and wut nots just to keep up with Sony. All the Xbox 360 is a hard drive that can crash easly like a computer. Sony is more well nown. 25 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 best for online play
I have to say that i am getting sick of all the scratched discs that my xbox is spitting out. When i press the eject button the disk tray opens up and half the time the danm disc is still spinning in place throwing scratches onto my brand new disc! I have gone through 6 360's in 4 years and the immature bull crap talk on xbox live is getting old. With all the money I put out to Microsoft i am seriously considering buying a PS3. By the way i bought a Wii for Xmas and haven't played with it since. Heres a question for all of you that support PS3 (your answers may sway me towards Sony)-How would you rate the communities matureity level for either xbox live or PS3? 41 days ago | Tagged As: Might hop the fench
Another person won over via PlayStation. No but online communities range from all ages i guess depending on what game your playing. So ya, the only downfall i could think about would be that PSN accounts are free to create so im sure most players have more than one account. This may make it harder to pick a name you like because so many have been taken already. 32 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
Ive had three X-Box 360 Consoles. I first bought one of these machines as I could not be bothered to wait for the PS3. I switched it on and was impressed. It was a step up from the play station 2 which I had previously been playing. Then it broke... about 5 months later, sent it for repair and they just sent me a brand new one which eventually broke another 6 months later. I was getting fed up but I was a big halo fan so I bought a 3rd console. It obviously broke about 8 months later, so I stuffed it off. Bought myself a play station and noticed that the controls are much easier to use. The analogue sticks on the 360 seem sticky which is a big factor when I'm playing on-line. with MAG out now, it seems like the PS3 is an obvious choice. 11 days ago | Tagged As: PS3 is better
