It is the most innovative country. Best to live? That is debateable because of its poverty rates.

It depends on the definition of "best". If by "best" you mean the most technologically advanced then yes. In respect of human rights, potentially although unlikely. In terms of positive impact on global society then absolutely not. In fact I would go as far to say that i terms of its effects on the world, The USA is by far the worst country in the world.

What can The USA do? Stop waging imperialistic wars on resource rich nations under the cheap disguise of spreading democracy. Stop filling the world's minds with materialistic capitalistic consumerism. Stop willfully ignoring the clear scientific evidence pointing towards climate change and imminent disaster. Most of all, use its position as most powerful country in the world to make a positive change rather than systematically destroying itself.

How can any country who has Donald Trump as a presidential candidate be the best country in the world?

How exactly is the US "filling world's minds with materialistic capitalistic consumerism"? Is it our fault, I suppose you would say, that our culture is so popular, maybe even the most popular culture ever?

Nope.

Should we try to prevent our culture from spreading beyond our borders(which would be impossible in the internet age)?

Nope.

well.

Lets try to be moderate.

If we look at capitalist china (in economics they are libertarian)

They don't have minimum wages and people get pays 20$ a week. Job quality is bad, Product quality is bad, no unions and workers cant do anything about it.

America has pushed consumerism. Maybe we are materialistic, always wanting things. But that's common in society.

We just have to make progress toward a better world.

I would have to agree with WillNottley.

I would also include that America needs a brain transplant which I'm not saying in a humorous way. What I'm saying is America's viewpoints seem to focus on profit and violence. Of all the many murders that take place in America what I thought was among one of the most tragic perspectives was when the president said Congress did absolutely nothing regarding the children being slaughtered in the Sandy Hook school system. The implication is that a gun company can by Congress if that's not sad I don't know what is.

It depends on what you want and who you are. Just because we are the richest country in the world does not mean at all that we are the happiest. Countries like Denmark, Sweden, and Finland are some of the happiest without having nearly the amount of wealth that Americans have. Any place with regional nationalism is gonna have people say whatever state they live in is the best state. What we can do to fix any problem is to educate ourselves first, then work toward a solution. The bad thing is some won't recognize the problem, and others will have different solutions. That's overall the biggest problem in the U.S.A and the largest problem in the world.

Those countries also have some of the highest tax rates on the planet and are the highest consumers of antidepressants...
