Is There Any Hope For Kansas Or Will They Continue To Go Backwards?
After living here for quite awhile, I can't help but notice that there are far too many people here who would rather be living in a time where they did not have to deal with other races, or sexual preference; vote republican "just cuz its the right thing to do" and you couldn't slap them into a science class (unless you told them it was church). This isn't everyone of course just a general view, so is there hope? or should I hit the road and not look back?

There is hope, because it is impossible to go any further backwards. Just kidding :) On a serious note, when one side dominates, it's always a bad idea. The democrats need to vote to even things up. The same (in reverse) goes with ardently democratic areas. Democracy works best with good competition. I am left wing, what you would call "liberal" or "a democrat voter", but I would hate to see too much domination by one side or another. Side: Step into the future!
thanks, i agree that in order to have a fair democracy both sides have to have an input. as long as both sides have a viable argument to be made, not one based on "cuz jesus said so". i have real issue with the way that the biggest majority of the people here are saturday night hell raisers, sunday go to meeting churchies. they still believe that president obama is a kenyan and a muslim. i just think that if they leaned a little more to the left (ok, alot more) they would be so much happier and everyone would be better off. :) Side: Step into the future!
