Is There Such Thing As Online Rape?

So this is just sort of jab at the ridiculousness our society is heading towards due to things like intellectual property rights, copyrights, and now they are going into "thought crime" and "pre-crime".   So, if you have online sex chat with someone and later that person decides to file a report to the police that he/she got raped by you online, should this be considered a crime
punishable by law with imprisonment, treated equally as if you had raped someone in person?

I'm quite sure there is, but it's not as much fun as the real thing.

If one convinces another to give them nude images or videos of themselves but then soon changes persona and uses the gained material to blackmail them to send more unless they want their images and videos spread across the web, this is the equivalent of online rape.

Just like physical rape, it is considered legally worse when this is done from an adult to a minor.

Blackmail doesn't have to be already-gained nudity, it can actually be something such as a person being a member of a gay forum and their real identity being found and someone threatening to expose them to their family unless they send them nudes.

I'd still define that as blackmail instead of rape ..................................................

I see your point but I would not consider it rape. I'm not really 100% sure what charge you can bring against the person in terms of illegal sexual activity since the images or videos were given with consent, unless of course the victim is a minor.

Can you get DNA from online rape. Pull that rabbit out of the hat there Democrat.

No. The only way you could commit rape without physically touching the victim would be if you were remote controlling a robot or a device which was doing it by proxy. Dirty talk or mean words alone cannot be rape.

Ironically, the person accused of rape based solely on what they said could turn around and accuse the accuser of censoring their constitutional right to freedom of speech.

What a bunch of ignorant nonsense. If anyone can prove that such nonsense exists then show the proof !

I am sure that given the increasingly litigious nature of our society it will only be a matter of time before some lazy, greedy, handout-seeking little female twit tries to sue some guy for "online rape."

It will be just another sign of the State of our State. So many people are scared to death of the big bad world and know damn well they aren't smart or motivated or independent enough to make it on their own. Especially a lot of young females, for some reason.

So you have things like this; frivolous lawsuits for exorbitant monetary reward. Marrying guys who they are not even close to being in love with, but who will take care of them financially so they don't have to work, and of course the entitlement whores who file SSDI claims for things like being fat and stupid.

Nope. If it's consensual chat, all fair game. If it's not the kind of conversation you want, terminate. Kinda like changing the channel if you don't like the program.
