Is a War with Russia Imminent?

Imminent in this case meaning, say, by 2020.

Given Russia's actions in the Crimea and Ukraine, they are clearly on the offense.

There are so many potential situations that could result in a war: misunderstandings or mistranslations, accidental aggression, a collapse of Russia's economy leading to the formation of nuclear-armed mini-states, as Stratfor suggests. Stupid Canadian PM Harper wants to bring even more sanctions against Russia, something Germany warns will only hasten its downfall into factious and irresponsible sovereign nations capable of launching nuclear war.

Sweden is considering joining NATO in preparation for war after witnessing increased aggression in the Baltic.

Not to mention the fly-bys of UK airspace which has been happening quite often.

A war with Russia would be quite the damning event the world over.

Russia will not provoke the USA to war without first delivering a crippling blow. Russians are not like Muslims who want a world wide blood bath and welcome death, the Russians actually want to survive a war and do not want to die.

I didn't say with America. I didn't even mention the USA. I'm not an American.

My concern is solely for Europe. North America can rot for all I care. If nobody else destroys America, America will destroy America.

Though, of course, with NATO, America should be going into a war with her allies.

One of those links I gave in the article which you disputed gives a quote by some military people stating that they feel war with Russia is more imminent than with ISIL.

maybe, maybe not. The USA could go to war with Russia before it falls and is ruled by a government foreign to it's Constitution, or it could fall first and be a subject of Russia when Russia gathers with the rest of the worlds armies to fight over Israel. Perhaps the USA will fall to China and be a subject of China, fighting against Russia while all armies are fighting against Israel. World War III is coming, and it may or may not be the Battle of Armageddon. If it is not the Battle of Armageddon, it will be so bad that people will think it is the Great Tribulation foretold in the Bible but it won't be that bad...the Great Tribulation will be much worse.

War with Russia is very possible.......imminent, maybe.

After the nearly half-century long Cold War, I find it somewhat stretches the imagination to say that there will be a legitimate, violent war. There is too much to lose - globally - for a nuclear war and anybody with some sense understands this.

Russia has many reasons for wanting to knock the USA from power, and they plan to make it happen eventually, same as the Chi Coms and Muslims.

A nuclear war will not destroy the ruling elites in the corrupt governments. Your leaders are ready to sacrifice you to the cause of reducing world population to sustainable levels. Europe is just as corrupt as any other government.

Well, if look around the world and see the Rainforest being cut down which in turn leads to mutants and aliens killing us all far before we could go to war with Russia. The other point I will make is that with innovations in technology we come to the point where all of our home appliances will A.) Kill us all or B.) make us their slaves. If my calculations are correct the mutants and aliens will uprise at the same time as our appliances leading to a war of great destruction destroying the world and you guessed it far before we could go to war with Russia.

If you want to learn more some users made good points on the recent debate about cutting down the rainforest it contains all the info to get you started. My assumptions have been taking place on Wednesday or Thursday. If you have any more questions ill be glad to answer them, buddy! Because as you probably already know I have extensive knowledge of the spirit realm!

There is more chance of your keyboard turning to 24 karat solid gold than there is of these two nuclear powers committing Armageddon, which is what it would be if such a conflict ever occurred. Russia's Tsar bomb has the power of 60 million tonnes of high explosives and I'm quite certain the U.S.A, have nuclear devices just as powerful. After a few hundred of these going off around the world there wouldn't be much of anything left.

No. At this point there is no reason to believe that it is "a certainty" that we will soon be going to war with Russia. (the word "imminent" means "unavoidably" or "certain".)

Oh, some think that just because Vlad Putin has built Russia back to a force to be reckoned with and is a hard line old school Russian leader and former KGB agent that we will soon be in another Cold War with them. And Russia and the U.S> do have a couple of differences of opinions on current Middle Eastern issues. But so what? For the most part Russia is at-present an ally of ours. And maybe we can become even better friends and one day rule the world together!

Russia his doing a lot of of our work right now in Syria. And if Trump becomes our next POTUS he has said he has plans to go into business with Russia.

I will also be glad to debate you on this topic of Russia: Friend or Foe, if you wish.
