Is a national health system worth £83 per month per person?
The entire NHS costs £100 billion a year. 60% (60% billion is staffing costs) of that is staff costs. So that means about £40 billion, after tax, goes into the pockets of the workers. So that leaves a cost of £60 billion per year that is taken from the tax payer and not given back to them directly in money. We have a population of about 60 million. This means each person has to pay £1000 a year for health care. This is £83 per month.
