Is being gay and expressing yourself as a homosexual really a big deal in today's society?

Is being a homosexual and expressing the anger, hurt, love, and what ever other feelings to other people a big deal???

It seems to be a big deal to those who do it. It seems to be even bigger of a deal to those who oppose it.

Those who do it and oppose it force those who are ambivalent to it to suddenly find it to be a big deal by causing a big hullabaloo.

Then it is not that big of a deal but rather appears to be.

The size of a deal is in its relative appearance.

"Expressing the anger, hurt, love, and what ever other feelings to other people" Why do you feel the need to do that on the internet ? So your a homosexual why not just be happy with who you are but without question you must display your anger and hurt. So you must not be happy with who you are.

I am on here a lot expressing myself to be positive and things the best i can because i have all feelings and emotions i CAN'T express to anyone because i have no one to express them to that i can trust enough to actually listen and respond well to all of them, and will help me process everything... I can not express my feelings towards the person i have a crush on, I can not express my feelings to the girl that has a crush on me which feels a little weird. I can not express my feelings & thoughts about the people that talk shit about my community and indirectly talking about my sexuality with out them even knowing it...

Outlaw60 I have no one to turn to besides my parents and my Uncle to express my anger to and i do not need them knowing about everything, they already know i am gay and that is all i want them to know. I can say whatever but it is not going to change anything.

I have no partner i have no close friends i have no friends i can absolutely trust I have nothing.

There's plenty of gay communities online where people express these things on a forum-like place and get replies.

One great example would be: https://www.reddit.com/r/gay

Just google gay forum communities, not dating sites where ou'd have to reveal who you are, and just enjoy expressing things anonymously like I do. Don't use your real name or age next time though that was a msitake you did with this account. You will feel freer when anonymous. :)

Seems you have a problem then but you see that is your problem. As it is seen you want us to live in your misery and why might this be ? Your homosexual and why is it you are not happy with yourself and your lifestyle ?

Expression of emotions is healthy, natural, and non-unique to homosexuals. Many people, including but not limited to homosexuals, express their feelings on the internet because it is (or at least feels) safer than doing so offline. Being unhappy can be the result of a lot of things - for instance, how others treat you - and does not necessarily mean you are unhappy about with who you are.

Hey all you people who don't support gay marriage, even if you don't want it to happen, and don't want it to be an issue, they're going to make it an issue until it happens. You make it more of an issue than it needs to be by denying them marriage. Might as well just let them do whatever the hell they want and go back to sorting out your own lives, huh?

OH YES IT IS! NOWADAYS GAYS ARE VERY POPULAR AND ARE GIVEN LOADS OF MEDIA ADVERTISEMENT AS WELL AS SPECIAL PRIVILEGES THEY DON'T DESERVE! NOBODY IS HOMOSEXUAL! HOMOSEXUALITY DOES NOT EXIST! THESE ARE PSYCOLOGICLLY TRAUMATISED PEOPLE WHOM ARE TRYING TO HIDE THEIR PSYCOLOGICAL PAIN!

But yes, it is a big deal since everybody will really start to be nice to you all of a sudden even though that's just as good as oppressing YOU!

Why don't you go ask Cartman, he's the standard run o the mill, gay oppressing looney! (No offense)

Anyway, homosexuals are not bad but misunderstood.

Homosexuality is bad and also misunderstood in that people think it is real.

IT IS A MENTAL CONDITION!

In today's society, it is no longer a big deal. Americans are becoming more tolerant of Gays.

they may be more tolerant but they still do not want to listen to us because what and who we are. Are problems and thought process is different than that of ""NORMAL"" people...

That depends entirely upon which part of America you live in.

The last part is right. But still, it was just this year when USA approved same-sex marriage. And if I am not mistaken the people who approved that decision weren't more than the 55%.

And in America is still very restricted in many countries... unless you were just talking about USA.

Also, there's the rest of the world. If you take the entire world, yes, it's a big big deal in many parts of the world.

But still, in the countries like USA, you are the one that can see it as a big deal... or not.

Nothing is really interesting about "Look at me! I preform intercourse with others who share my gender!". Meh.

No one really cares because they're probably to busy worrying about ISIS or their finances to care if anyone is Homosexual or not.
