Is globalism a good idea?

There are two definitions or mind sets that I could find.

"Globalism can have at least two different and opposing meanings. One meaning is the attitude or policy of placing the interests of the entire world above those of individual nations. Another is viewing the entire world as a proper sphere for one nation to project political influence."

The first, placing the interests of the entire world above those of individual nations.....COULD be good, could also be very very bad.

The second, very bad.

We are not all like minded, we are a mixing bowl of different ideas, beliefs, nationalities, color, gender and so on. One nation should never have the power for global political influence.

Globalism is a horrible idea. Hitler was a globalist, and so was the Roman Empire.

Of the two definitions of globalism, the first has a 50/50 shot at POSSIBLY being good, but the bad portion of it is too much to risk. The second is just 100d.

I will just say that, since the world first created nations (even tribes), there has been wars, there has been genocide, there has been hatred between nations, there has been hatred between religions where they have based nations on a single religion.

What is it? "Nationism" that isn't working?? Or that religions don't allow nationism to work? Or is it concentrated power ...., and the need for more that hasn't worked for centuries?

Maybe globalism isn't a good idea, but, what we have been doing hasn't worked well, has it?? We are again on the verge of destroying this "globe", so, got any BETTER ideas?? I'd like to hear one …. before it's too late. :-(

We wouldn't all fall off if the Earth didn't suck!

Are you leaning on the first definition of globalism?

No. I'm just saying we HAVE to come together as HUMANS, not people of different religions and opposing politics.

Are YOU leaning on what we have been, and are doing, as a "solution"?? That would be kind of like screwing for virginity! The world can't get together without getting together is what I'm saying, call it what you will. Maybe we could come up with a third definition of globalism?? If we don't, eventually, we WILL destroy ourselves. In the past we destroyed peoples …. countries. That's all we had the ability TO do. Today we have the ability to wipe out EVERYTHING. It WILL happen if we DO NOT find that third definition!

Let's look at it in a different way ..... a kind'a "Christian way". ;-)

(1) The Earth, billions of souls under a single ruler with a single set of rules and absolutely NO arguments about religion.

(2) Heaven, Billions of souls under a single rule with a single set of rules and absolutely NO arguments about religion.

(3) Hell, Billions of souls under a single rule with a single set of rules and absolutely NO arguments about religion.

Maybe it actually "Gods" Way !?? Maybe that's why He's allowing us to destroy ourselves! We won't wake up and do things HIS way! Just a thought ...... ;-)
