Even though the economy is shaky, this may just be the perfect time to purchase a house if you are in the right position. If you have a strong level of job security or financial resources so that that you can support the monthly payments comfortably then it is a good time. Many houses are currently being sold at lower than there real value. When the economy eventually rebounds the value will appreciate and you're investment will pay off. Side: It depends on your finances

Great reason for a down vote shit for brains! I never said the government would bail anyone out. I said that if you have enough money to cover yourself for two years WITHOUT a job it would probably be OK...the R.E. market is supposed to revive by then. Of course it is...and for those that have the finances to see them through these next couple of years, they can own something that will fetch about 35-40% more than what they paid for it. Interests rates are down too but do your homework...don't jump in because it looks good. Side: Yes, go right ahead

No, it's not in your best interest to buy a house for we're still in the financial crisis and the real estate prices will continue to fall for some time to come. On other hand, it's in the economy's interest for you (the people) to start buying houses ASAP so the prices would go up and we'd strengthen our banks and get out of the crisis faster.
