Is it more logical to be agnostic than atheist?

In my honest opinion. I would think so.

Yes

They are not mutually exclusive. Gnostic/agnostic is a philosophical spectrum concerning knowledge. The theist/atheist spectrum concerns belief.

Atheism is not universally the belief that "God does not exist". It is, in its most basic sense, a lack of belief in God.

As far as knowledge goes, definitive proof of God's existence or non-existence has not been obtained, so it is more logical to be agnostic than gnostic.

Because God's existence has not been verified. it is more logical to be atheistic than theistic.

Therefore, agnostic atheism the most logical of the four basic stances provided by this (admittedly simplified) metric.

It is most logical to realize that you don't really know.

Basically put, this is the Atheists' stance, "I've never seen it before, therefore it can't be real."

Now, how is that logical at all?

While that very well may be some atheist's reason for disbelief it is in no way the stance all atheists take. Most atheists dont say with certainty that god doesnt exist. Most atheists are in fact both agnostic and atheists.

Summed up i would say 90% of all atheists, myself included, hold this stance:

"i dont know if a god/deity exists but i dont think one does"

Side: No

The problem I have with atheism is that they deny the existence of a supernatural being. They conclude that there is no such thing. While agnostics are a lot more open minded and look at both sides pretty much equally.

I am both, agnostic just means you are not sure...........................................

Side: Yes

Yes since there has been no present scientific and logical evidence to prove or disprove God.

no present scientific and logical evidence

Lol good luck finding it

Just because something its`t evident dose`t mean it is completely non-existent since as a race, we still have more to discover in our universe so counting God`s existence out is made by pure assumption.

Definitely far more logical, but I'm not Spock, so I b will still b atheist.

Side: Yes

Agnostics are striving to believe. An agnostic does not deny the existence of God.

Side: Yes

To even consider there is some being who single-handedly created everything and controls everything is stupid.

It is something that billons have people have believes for thousands of years and there is a lot of factual evidence for the birth and life of Jesús. How can you be so sure that all those people are wrong?

Side: Yes

Just because Jesus existed doesn't mean that he was the son of God, let alone that God exists at all. Also the evidence could have been faked by Rome.

And just because of lots of people believe something doesn't mean you should believe it. There was a time when many people thought that the World was flat.

And to even consider the opposite viewpoint is just as dumb... What it comes down to is nobody knows shit.

To consider that there is no god or gods is just as stupid.

Side: Yes

You can be both . in fact most are

Side: No
