Just had some call me an idiot for my religion not nameing... But what do you think?

No it's not . Just because there is no evidence of something that we believe in , doesn't make it stupid . That is a stupid thing to say . We believe what be believe because we CAN . Because no one has a right to say its stupid not to believe in something with no evidence . P Side: No it's not tolerable

What about people who are spiritual as a means of dealing with grief? Is it okay to tell them that they're stupid for just trying to believe that their loved ones are OK? If someone is truly heartbroken over the death of a loved one, telling them that could push them into emotional instability, and that is not tolerable. Side: No it's not tolerable
It is definately wrong to call someone stupid because of the basis of their beliefs, if they say or do something stupid because of their beliefs then it's to call them on that but insulting someone because of their beliefs is bigoted. Faith and Belief are what help people through tough times and are all some people have left in the world Side: No it's not tolerable
I just think its not ethical. Nobody knows what has happen in the life of a certain individual to make him/her to believe or disbelieve in a certain thing. It doesn't mean you are stupid, for that is a matter of the other person opinion and not fact. We as human beings are quick to judge other people. We criticize does who don't share are same point of view. Yes, there are those who make really foolish statements and arguments. But that is because they don't do their homework and research about the topic they are talking about. It doesn't mean their stupid, but rather ignorant. Side: No it's not tolerable
