The job of the press should be to obtain the Truth and present that Truth to general public. They should ask questions and report what answers they were given. Journalism is not a branch of philosophy or politics. If we want to hear the opinion of a journalist we can read the editorials.

Hello T:

The Constitution says the press is FREE.. To me, FREE means FREE.. To you, it means something else..

Look.. Democracy is MESSY.. It's NOT nice. It's NOT supposed to be nice.. If it was, the founders wouldn't have written a Constitution.. They would have written a dress code..

Our Left wing biased press have become as arrogant as Liberal activists these past decades.

They are not interested at getting to any truth with their questions. They are looking for a gotcha moment. One that will play non stop on Fake news.

They deliberately make deceptive, exaggerated, insulting accusations, trying to get an angry response.

When a nation's free press takes sides and becomes a tool for the Left, America becomes yet one more dictatorship controlled by the Government media.

Now we will hear the Liberal fools on this site rant about Fox news, which is the only non Left wing network in America.

The Left controls most of the others networks and mainstream entertainment... ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, late night comedy, Hollywood, MTV, Award's programs, etc. etc. etc.

Both. If he says something blatantly false, they need to call him out on it. Debating isn't attacking like a mob, neither is questioning what is being presented as fact. Now there is a way to go about it, simply attacking someone just because they don't like the person, isn't listening to try to understand either.

Why is it the press's job to debate anything? They are supposed to be objective agents of the news. "A group of 10,000 illegals headed our way shouldn't be called an invasion" is not being an objective agent of the news. It's Marxist activism.

I'd rather have a reporter asking questions and correcting when facts prove otherwise than someone who just blindly writes whatever story they are told without any attempts at clarification.

If you are asking whether the press should just sit there passively while Trump openly lies, cheats, distorts, and applies Nazi rhetoric to his arguments, then no.

That would be a seriously good response if they hadn't treated Barack Obama and Bill Clinton with kid gloves.

@Hootie

It is fine to strongly disagree with Trump's policies, attitude, etc., however suggesting their is "Nazi rhetoric to his arguments" is outrageously disingenuous, and unethical.

It isn't disingenuous or unethical to acknowledge reality. It's disingenuous and unethical to refuse to acknowledge reality. Hundreds if not thousands of people are pointing out the outrageous similarities between Trump and the rise of the Nazis, including many Holocaust survivors, so frankly you're a disingenuous and unethical liar who loves to play the victim.

Trump is a Mussolini of our era, not a Hitler. There is a significant difference but he's a Fascist despite definitely not being as corrupt or delusional as a Nazi leader.

You are talking common sense! Something in short supply on the Left. Keep up the good work.
